Alan is clearly not attaching anything to anything at the moment.
"Huh?  Not right now?  Although we were wondering if we could.  Also are you reading our minds or just spying on us?"

She smiles.
"Neither. And yes, you are allowed to install it."

Alan nods, then resumes reading.

Jason finishes up and returns to the common room instrument still in hand.

He then begins to tune it

"Kindly refrain from tuning or playing your instrument in here without due cause. Your room is fairly soundproof: do it in there."

Also, he's been tuning the wrong direction this entire time.

Alan, now that he is not focusing on Rosabel, notices that Lieselotte is asleep.  He will, if lunch comes and she has not awoken, simulate a sunrise-like light pattern to wake her up.
