Alan thinks for a bit before realizing something rather off.
"...For that matter, how does that magic mirror have HTTP support?  Let alone actual browsing capabilities.   ...Hm.  That would be quite a project.  Making something for a magic mirror that would effectively simulate a tablet..."
Alan appears to be thinking quite deeply.
"I could do this.  I could totally do this.  I'd just need power to do it with or time to do it in.  And some basic knowledge about how to make magic STICK but I'm sure I can pick that up.  It's only redeveloping the computer...But then again, magic computers are certainly extant things in fiction, why not."

Shen is sitting near Alan, reading a book on computer sciences.

Sefia is playing on her psp, headphones in her ears to keep the system quiet.

Alan continues speaking, with all the hallmarks of a person who is reasonably sure they have the next big thing.  Gestures, rapid speech, little pops of magic, also louder-than-usual-ness.
"And...Hm, how would this fit TCP/IP?  Could...No, that's unsigned, isn't it?  Need to think of a way of allocating IP addresses such that the devices on the other end can actually handle them.  Maybe I should build the OS first.  But then that nulls the point of a magic mirror..."
Shen can most likely hear Alan.
((Wait.  Sefia keeping something quiet?  What?))

Shen does indeed hear Alan, "I'd say working on the Language of the Magic Computer would be the best place to start. I doubt C++ would be a valid medium. That also applies to Java, Python, and any other programming language."

Sefia is being awfully quiet...

"Well of course not.  We need to implement the BASICS first.  Binary and all.  Bit switching.  Some sort of handler for RAM and persistent memory.  The Really Basic Stuff.  Then a programming construct.  Preferably one useable by not-necessarily-magic persons...Hang on, how is Sefia not talking?"

Shen look over at Sefia, faceplams, and chucks his book at Sefia hitting her square in the face, knocking her to the floor, "The shit brother?!"

"I know what you're playing. Not cool." Shen then looks back to Alan, "Binary doesn't work with magic. There is no definitive yes or no. Too many variables for it. How about starting at the very beginning with the medium that will be used? It's a magic Mirror yes? Can you make one?"
