I'll pull my sheet together next time I have my computer out.

Not going to lie, I am stuck as to how exactly to represent the mansion itself... and the guest houses, servant houses, and village.

I am used to using Roll 20 where I can just build everything anyway. Yet this requires a different method... and I am at a loss.

They need to be shown and readable... hmmm

I could just... List the rooms out... and have the house be sort of vague as to how it exactly looks like. Does that sound like a good idea?

If I did that I'd also want little Cameo type portraits of the side characters popping in...

I am getting concerned about how long it is taking to get my game up, but i'll be giving it my all.

Maybe you could break the mansion up into vague sections, each with related rooms (for instance: The sleeping section, where the master bedroom, guest bedroom, and wife's bedroom would be)

For the mansion itself, I'd suggest doing it by floor. Unless it's really fucking big, in which case divide by both floor and wing.

Have another map for the grounds as a whole with a lower level of detail, then any of the outbuildings which are plot-relevant in normal detail. Same for the village, do a simplistic overhead view of the whole thing and detail any places we're likely to go. If someone randomly wanders into a hovel or something I don't think anyone will expect a super-detailed floor plan.

September 27th:

The flight to Vermont was uneventful as you catch an early flight.

It seems that the Don Ettore Vignali has called in the entire Asuro family to discuss his last will and testament. While he is certainly old enough, more unusual is his resignation for a soon death. Along with his unusual behavior as of late he has hired completely several new staff members as well as several acquisitions from all around the world.

September 28th:

The air in Vermont is exceptionally chilly as your breath clouds in front of you, the frost collecting on the windows as you climb into a private bus owned by the Vignali family. The trip was exhausting as you close your eyes to sleep, yet the cold penetrates you down to the bone making your entire trip restless. The driver complains about the busted heating; You just stare at the ceiling in silence for the entire ride as if in a trance. Though for those of you who didn't take the bus for some reason you weren't spared a similar experience as the cold seems to penetrate your vehicle as well as if you lacked heaters.

It takes you almost a day to reach the town of Barberry rest as you gaze outside your Bus' window watching as the town stares at you with their vacant eyes. All of them looking, peering at you. There are so many of them seemingly lined up to watch the bus move by as if to tell you to keep moving.

The Pine trees pass by as you spot the barberry bushes this place is known for and even from the moving bus you can make out the wicked thorns jutting from them, you sure wouldn't want to get pricked by those.

September 29th:

Midnight rolls by as you spot several houses. First the small but cozy Servant Housing where you can spot, even now, a few of them walking home to bed. Next up are the four Family Guest Houses, where each of the four families stay.

You eventually pull up to the house where Servant who introduces himself as "Mr. Goterburg" asks that you all come inside to introduce yourselves to Don Ettore Vignali as they prepare your rooms. You aren't given too much time to talk, not that with your cold addled minds could say much at this time.

The house is clearly well kept but shows an age beyond its years. You get the impression you are entering a renaissance castle more then you are a pricey mansion.

The Main Hall opens up to fresh red carpeting over the hard wood floor with worn lacquer. As you look ahead large suits of armor, paintings, and doors dot the sides of the hall as it all opens up to a large elegant staircase cut off with red velvet rope, likely to keep guests from wandering upstairs. The house is still a bit chilly as you are further marched on to a large room with texture less brown walls along brown leather sofas. In the center of the room is was seems to be a bearskin rug under a glass table.

The Table contains several old newspapers, magazines, and a soon a desperately needed cups of coffee. The wall opens up as Mr. Goterburg lights the secret fireplace at the other side of the wall the warm air dispelling the chill of the night. You feel as if a great weight has been taken from your minds as you start to think once more and more accurately discern your surroundings.

There seems to be eight people in the room which includes yourself and Mr. Goterburg who soon goes to get the master of the house who, from what the servant is telling you, is speaking to a few other guests who arrived even earlier then you did somehow.

This room is oddly plain and lacking anything beyond the almost continuously brown motif only broken up by the black fireplace. You were thoroughly impressed by how tough it was to notice the fireplace before it was opened and you wonder if this room holds other secrets... But first there are the others in the room who you vaguely seem to remember being on the bus with you.

Al, who drove in, instead of taking the bus, stands by the fireplace, warming his hands. After a few minutes, he turns around to equally heat both his front and back. During this time, he scans the room for any family he recognizes.
