As we slip and trip him out of the box, and onto his friends below.
You duck under his swing, but your legs slip from underneath you. Fortunately, your legs strike his kneecaps and cause him to tumble over your body and towards the open door. However, he is remarkably agile and he caught himself at the edge of the door. With lightning speed, he flicks his wrist and sends the flail back down at your head. You are still lying on the ground and have very little time to dodge. Your knife would be practically useless against a weapon like that.

(OOC) Do you know what a flail is? It is a massive spiky ball on the end of a chain. It is currently coming straight down towards your face. (OOC)

Kick the goblin's legs out from under him in order to change the trajectory of the flail.  Then, spinning back-kick his head from his shoulders.

I didn't really understand why I died until I discovered I was teleporting my own spine into my enemies' body as a primary way of attack.

You kick the Goblin Master's legs out in an attempt to change the flail. Your tactic works, but only just. The flail gazes the side of your cheek and lands hard on the metal platform and tears a hole straight through it. The dragon that you are fighting on suddenly lets out a roar of pain and jerks a bit. You think that the flail had gone all the way into the dragon's back. Without giving you time to feel sorry, the Goblin Master stands up and yanks at his flail, which had gotten stuck in the floor. seizing this opportunity, you get up as well and spin into the most powerful kick you could dish out. It connects with his head and let's out a sickening crunch which sends the Goblin flying into the dragon egg, letting go of the vicious flail. The egg didn't appear to be damaged, so you advance. However, the Goblin Master regains enough sense to put his hand on the lever that decides whether the hatchling survives or not. With some slurred speech and blood coming out of his mouth, he speaks softly, "If you come any closer, I'll kill it." He is much less menacing without the deadly flail in his hand, but you still must be careful. He arranges himself such that if he were to die, his body would collapse on the lever.
