The Atmospheric Landing Vehicle is designed for rapid takeoff and landing. It is able to dock not only inside a shuttle hangar on the GCS Einstein's Cross, but with space stations and vessels using the Connectron Docking Brace.
Its liquid-oxygen/hydrogen (LOX) engines can accelerate the unladen spacecraft at a maximum of 38.83 m/sē, excluding the effects of gravity. With gravitational effects on Earth accounted for, the spacecraft will accelerate at 29.02 m/sē. This amounts to a force of 2.8 MN of thrust, factoring the shuttle's weight of 75 tonnes.
The shuttle is fully integrated with the Illuminate team tracking and positioning system, which is fully independent of satellite and radio tower communication. All Magnus suits defer communication to their assigned shuttle, which provides them with lighthouse-based radio positioning and long distance communications reaching up to 70 km in all forms of terrestrial weather.
To change the host shuttle, the Magnus suit must be booted in Configuration mode. Navigate to the Communications menu and pair shuttles using the interface provided.
The shuttle is capable of carrying 10 tonnes of cargo, enough for eight Cryonix Stasis Units plus occupants and gel. Carrying supplies with a full load of pods is unnecessary; the Oxygel can be consumed as regular food and is in fact encouraged as it contains all proteins, vitamins, and minerals required for human life. Do not allow animals to ingest Oxygel.
