You have a weird snake encounter protocol. It involves neither flamethrowers nor suppressive fire.

I'm happy my Necromancer-Mummy is still going in Dungeon Crawl.  Almost every time I play mummy I die super early, and almost every time I play a necromancer(or really any wizard) I die super early.  Yet for some reason this particular Mummy-Necromancer has just been motoring through with hardly any problems.

Of course, now that I've typed this, he'll probably die 5 mins after I start up the game next...   :P

Edit:  He did die after 5 mins.   >:(

Unless you're gonna eat that snake afterwards don't do that

But it was adorable! c:

In other Happies: I have finally persuaded my mother to read Cosmic Banditos, a definite contender for the title of Greatest Book Ever Written. How this will affect her worldview remains to be seen, but it should be entertaining to find out.
Really, I only had to get her to read the first page of the foreword and she was already hooked.

Well, party didn't turn out to be as party as last Tuesday.
But that's okay. I mean... partying on a Tuesday? That's pretty cool, but it usually doesn't happen for me unless I'm in a very strange place, such as the United States. I shall have to make Tuesday night Party Night back home once I've returned. And once I have money for party substances such as booze.

Embrace the HIMYM wisdom: Not every night can be legendary. Learn to embrace, to enjoy the non-legendariness of ordinary nights.

Conference call went on waaay over schedule.  So no typical party last night, just went to sleep after some work and a little KSP.
But the call made me less worried about my job security, so I didn't really need to party :P  I did really need the sleep, feel a lot better now.
Dreamt I got a lander safely on Duna.  Just in time to see a flight of fighter jets fly over, but still felt great (:

Recent bouts of drinking have actually repaired my sleep schedule.  Without any hangover to speak of, particularly today.  Yay!

Tuesday my boss's boss (in another state) suggested a brewery here in my city.  So Wednesday I checked it out, having a yearning for real beer and professional food.
The serving was small, but tasty (bean burger yum).  And they gave me mustard with pretzels, which eventually became mustard on fries.  Mmm.  And $5 for a pint seems crazy, but it did taste like a $5 beer.  So basically the whole thing was expensive, but nice.  I can see why people treat themselves to it.

There were a *lot* of people around, but I got over that pretty quick.  Terry Pratchett ebook helped :D  I parked far away because I suck at parallel parking, so I got a couple of nice walks in too.  Was an abandoned lot actually.  When I got back there were two policecars pulled up next to each other, talking about something.  With my car the only other thing in the lot.  Fortunately, it had nothing to do with me apparently.  (I've seen cops do that before... pull up alongside from opposite directions, so they can have a face-to-face.  Not sure why, maybe they get bored on patrol or something)

How are y'all doing today?
I myself am doing pretty good. Last night was pretty much the best send-off I could have hoped for, and I'm barely even hungover! I look like I just crawled out of a closed casket, but that's okay.

It looks like I will get a chance to take a bit of a look around LA after all... just for a day trip before catching my flight, but still.
Anyone gonna recommend any cool spots to check out?
