Navarro brandishes his shackle, and fires a jet of oily, transparent fluid at the floor in front of Jan. She stumbles and falls in a heap as her shoes suddenly lose all grip or purchase on the floor. The worm on Navarro suddenly begins to attack his arm, tearing the muscle, while the butterfiles turn fully crimson and begin to run with a dark red liquid oozing out of holes pierced in their carapaces, though have no further ill effects.
