    In the swirling, churning, timeless Void, a great hammer swings and a great mirror cracks, sending forth a shower of hot sparks and shards. As they travel, the shards collect thick coats of Bubble, frozen Void, into which sparks fly and are trapped.

    In one such Bubble, we find some twenty sparks, each bearing one god forged from a different history and a different place, carrying visions of worlds uncreated and works uncompleted. We find
