yes some people could, but why NOT create a few races of Mercenary? besides it would help keep the peasants in order, why do they need godly defense, when there is almost nothing to fear but fear itself.

They don't need godly defense, but considering the gods need their races for Essence income, they'll likely receive it :P

Question: Pantheons may share worship and thus the resources gained from it, but what about sphere influence? Is it shared along with worship, separate from it, or personal only?

Is it possible to create people who are good at magic that doesn't exist? For example, could I create a guy who was really good at manipulating water with magic without creating hydromancy first? nvm I reasoned it out.

Price check on a [Displacement] trait, which gives the being the illusion of being in a different place. Higher levels of the trait allows the illusion to appear further away from the being.
Price check on a [Phasing] trait, which gives the being the ability to temporarily phase through objects at will.
Items with the [Phasing] trait will allow the user to phase through objects, but must devote most of their concentration to it. If they lose concentration, the item may phase through the user, or the user may get stuck in something. The user must constantly concentrate to not phase downwards through the ground.

I can imagine a number of people accidentally ending up in hell after losing control of a [Phasing] item.
