I'm not entirely sure where are you getting the idea that this castle is larger than the last castle, It was meant to be smaller.

Well, not counting the walled space, of course, but the 'castle' itself should be only a two story building. The mission was supposed to be a short one that possibly showing insight into something that you didn't know as well before.

But if people want, we could sack this castle and I'll cart in the next one with appropriate assigned gears and vehicles?

Don't worry, the Company doesn't do suicide missions neither. :P Suicide missions aren't profitable at all. The things they give you are made from educated calculations taking in the risk and potential profit factors from what they can see. But sometimes, there's a big throbbing monstrous scythe-armed snake hiding inside, is all! :D

That picture you gave us of the castle was a multi story monstrosity. At least two stories in the star area. With a rooftop courtyard. Then a smaller house like structure in the middle of that. Making about 4 total stories, two being big. Two small. Keep was just 4 small stories in comparison. (Could easily fit like 10 small stories in a single big story.)

Hmmm, I think the problem here is miscommunication, and I apologize for that.

For size comparison, The keep that you went into last time have the base width of the star walls itself that you see in the new picture, effectively making it a 'block'. That's as high as the roof of the building ontop of it.

And this new keep's first two level that you pointed out are just dirt, that stairs leads straight up to the courtyard roof.

That makes this castle having about half as much space as the last one if you only count the building in the middle, the corner bunkers are only a single story building room and should prove only slight difficulty if it does have anything in it, it's got enough space to maybe squeeze two sedans inside it each.

Compared to the last keep that one floor could fit hundreds of rushers, it's only a minor curiosity due to it's unique shape is all.

The company saw this as a rather simple mission and have some doubts that there may be artifact in it at all as it might just be some sort of a watch-post, they're sending your Veteran squad in to check it out. Plus if the squad's guess was right and they start shooting blackpowder weapon at your cars, they should be able to speed away to safety without problem. And they are armed with .50 cal machine guns too for the much-recommended vehicular firing support.

The Company values your experience and caution, after all. The longer you live, the more profit you make them.

Oooh.

Yah. I had misinterpreted that entirely then.

Let's say retcon for the dialogue in the IC thread.

I thought this castle was bigger as well, but I didn't think he would just gank us for fun. Well whatever is fine with me,  lets get going. :D

Anyone seen Kevak? They haven't posted in a while already and I'm wondering if they're still okay.

I'd recommend fast forwarding to the point where we've already arrived at the castle. Perhaps there just isn't much to talk about yet.

Without Tal chances are the multiple <10 intelligence scores will get us killed through lack of caution.

I suppose it's more preferable that we wait for the brain of the group to recover before we head straight into danger, then?  :P
