A discord is a program sorta like a cross between an IRC and teamspeak. It's quite useful and potentially allows for rp without cluttering up the main thread. As well as role based private channels for certain things.

It's useful.

Then I see it as something that would be uses when needed, and ignored when not. Would work the same as using skype, honestly.

It works better then skype on account of skype flat out not working for many people and being a laggy uncooperative piece of trash. That and Discord has significantly better functions.

A standard irc doesn't keep logs past a certain point and therefore I do not recommend such.

Honestly we need gear for the dogs before we bring em with us. Stuff specifically designed for them to use. Maybe exosuits with the capacity for optical cloaking. They're biologically built for scouting. Lets optimize that.
