Assist in the slaying of the chicken. Use my new sword.
[6 vs 1] You throw yourself against the chicken, bloodying the mysterious weapon by plunging it into the chickens large and plump chest. A pink mist issues forth, and after shielding your eyes you find that the chicken has violently exploded upon the impact with the sword. Chunks of burnt chicken breast line the floors and corners of the building.
Inside the newly-formed chicken corpse you see a human leg, clothed in green pants and wearing a brown leather shoe. It seems still attached to something deeper within the chicken corpse.

I'm not too familiar with chicken anatomy but perhaps I can inflict damage with a random stab.
Stab chicken with Estoc [4]. Assign rest of luck to defense.
For a prince it is always import to lean towards a strong defense until he can adapt to the patterns and movements of his foe.
"This chicken is far more agile than I had hoped. If you see an opening perhaps you could lend me a hand."
(Automatic 2 because chicken is dead: 4-2) Rob runs at the chucken and stabs it without so much as a word. At this point you had adopted perfect martial poise and stood ready to counterstrike against the animal.
But all you can do now is stand and watch in disappointment as ribbons of fried chicken fall from the air. Rob pulled out this strange glowing sword that may have just caused the chicken to explode. An explosion-blade.

"So you don't know about this glyph, right?"
Go outside if the guy doesn't go outside right now, if he did, follow him.
"I do not. I will do my best to study them and try to discern their meaning beforehand, however." says Galloway.
The other knights (but not Galloway) slowly get up, one by one, getting their gear together and putting on their backs. Soon the captain organizes them into two squadrons with the goal of recovering personnel after the battle. The knights shall disperse into the city and emerge from different locations in order to mask the location of the hideout.
You step outside and hear some kind of explosion from the middle of the city, toward your right. Toward your left, you see a giant artificial plateau near a solitary tavern on a hill. Beyond the tavern is a heated battle, where knightly formations thrust aside legions of skeletons. A large sparkdrive-powered contraption leads the charge, equipped with a cow-catcher fitted to deal with the undead.

Look around for any sign of a stealthy get-away by the pillar man.
You circumscribe the plateau, looking past to see if the bald man was perhaps one of the enemy, retreating back to his protective formation.
[6] However, you are ambushed! You hear Words being spoken behind you, and suddenly you hear the sound of fracturing rock. Looking back, a fault in the ground is propagating your way.
