opinions on their counter going up?

I maintain it is a joke.
You have no evidence that it's just a joke. Nukes are not something we should face with denial. We can't think they haven't invented nukes just because they weren't at this time IRL. Nukes could've been theorised earlier than usual and uranium could've been discovered by them.

By the same logic, a caveman should be able to develop the machine gun.

I vote for this logic as the enemy are barely above cavemen anyway.

Glory to Arstotzka!

consideirng your list of suggestions, I suppose your focus is on the plains.

of those, I think a new tank might be the most impactful, although rocket artillery is a step toward a personal goal of mine ( as we gain solid rocket technology, I want to get a rocket able to deliver a payload to orbit. lets humiliate the powers of the world. and get some cameras up there :P). Beacons on the other hand are mainly for the sake of our bombers, which would avoid most AA due to nocturnal raids.

Maybe it is time to start making some designs

+1 to this, with the specification that it comes with a radio as standard just to be absolutely certain.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I like the PTAB idea myself, but why not design it as part of a IL-2 lookalike?

Also, the tank should have slat armour.

Because we have the IL-2 lookalike already.

Our newsest fighter has 2 autocannons, 2 machine guns, and bomb capacity. It's smaller, but it's pretty much a ground attack craft.

Umm, I was thinking it was more a bf109 or early Mustang lookalike(minus the fixed gear :P)

I don't see the similarity.

The bf-109 was build on the low weight, low drag principle. Our plane is about the opposite, with it's fixed landing gear and heavy wing armament.

The mustang meanwhile has an all machine gun armament. Our mixed weaponry is in serious contrast with that.

Early Mustangs had 20mm cannons. Source.

We don't have much in the way of Anti air, it's all machine guns and the autocannon.

Let work on a Heavy Auto Cannon, say 35mm for AA use.
Why am i not suggesting a bigger gun? bigger is slower and heavier, a 35mm can be towed about, it can be anti tank weapon.
There bombers will be forced to fly up higher at greater risk of attack from our fighters.

Uhm, our artillery cannon has flak shells and can fire straight up. Makes for a good enough anti air cannon.

Their onlybombers are biplanes, not a threat.

I missed that, Still at 12 RPM it's never going to hit any fast moving plane.
So with the artillery cannon covering the high altitudes theres still no cove until attackers are in range of the 20mm.

Not really a concern unless they actually get better bombers. Right now we're winning the war in air-to-air engagements, so we don't need to worry about air right now. What we need is stuff to help us push the jungle, mountains, and desert. I'm still for the T33 with this slight modification:
