Seeing as the situation seemed to have resolved itself, Gareth strode over to Eneas, ignoring Torves and Rydell. Placing a hand on his shoulder, Gareth asked quietly,

"Are you ok? What happened? Do you need me to do anything to help?"

[F.O.E.]

"Lass, I be but a simple pirate; not some important scholarly sage. I'd say it took us a few weeks, maybe a month? Wasn't really payin' attention. And you don't get to know what the labyrinth is, only citizens get to know 'bout it. Maybe if you go there someday you can take the test to become a citizen."

"As tempting a perk as getting to know what the labyrinth is, I think I'm gonna pass, personally." Cyryl looked around the ship. "Now that you've got your ship back to yourself, what are your plans?"

: "I... I understand..."

Francis clasped his hands into prayer. By the Goddess, this whole idea was absolutely insane. Not to mention the fact that he nearly got his brother killed. Prayer was the only thing he had left now. That and...

He turned, finding Gareth next to him.

: "Y-yes. I'm quite alright. I'll just need some time to think things over later. How are you and Pasco holding up?"

"Pasco's fine. I'm pretty sure nothing can phase him. And I'm fine. Being around these monsters isn't helping, but whatever it takes, right?"

: "..."

[Swordstar]

Gareth frowned, and pulled Eneas away from the others. Leaning in, he quietly said,

"Look. If you want to return home... or get away from these people... I will do whatever it takes. Ok?"

Ooh, talking of new things...

She leaned onto the rails of the ship and called to the tiny human... Eneas?

"Hey, humanling! Eneas!"

: "I... I will endeavor."

: "The first step has been taken. I can't back out now."

His eyes gazed up onto the deck of a ship, where a four-eyed woman seemed to be addressing him. He responded the best that he could with his limited knowledge.

: "Ah! H-hello... Monsterthing!"

"Are you coming with us? This spider is Larini! Nice to meet you!"

: "Yes... I-I believe I will be joining you all for a short time. It is ah... It is a pleasure to meet you as well." Eneas replied nervously.

His heartrate quickened slightly. The poor boy was uncertain to make of this strange character.

Larini stepped back from the rail and changed to spider-form, quickly scuttling over before she changed back, in front of the humanling.

"Have you not seen a Bael before?"

[Swordstar]

"We literally just came from Sanctuary, or did you somehow miss that part? Monsters aren't allowed in there. Thank goodness."

[GiglameshDespair]

Larini laughed.
"You might have been outside Sanctuary before, silly. We had to fight a bunch of Sanctuary-humans not long ago when they attacked the town, so it's not like you all hide away."

Gareth rolled his eyes.

"Even if what you say is true, the fact remains that he is the youngest Domini... Ah right, you likely have no idea what I'm talking about. Let me put this in a way that you would be able to understand. His father? Very important. So keep Eneas in forest. Safe. Away from monsters. Only reason he's out here now is because he ran away. But that doesn't mean we enjoy spending time around things like you."
