Shimmering folds remained in the air after the magical assault. Eneas jerked his hand back as if he were bitten by a snake and shook it vigorously. He was angry at the patroller, but he wasn't expecting his magic to manifest quite like that and push him back so strongly.

Elysia checked the terrain and area of where the other voices were coming from--the forest beyond the beach was not dense further in, but the elevation and position of where the trees were leaning towards gave her the hint that this was a longstanding forest. Considering her weapons available, she was happy that she took mastery in Wind and Air: There would be a lot of fallen leaves to flutter soon, and a lot of trees to bump into. "This is such a beautiful forest."

As the fighting intensified near the shore a winged teen approached Nantale; his small entourage surrounding him until he was face to face with the Kip. He looked rather upset and everyone present knew exactly why he was.

"Nantale! What is the meaning of this? My father told you that you weren't to challenge them unless they actually exited the forest!"

The twin maids rolled their eyes.

"And you're disobeying a direct order from his majesty, perhaps you've finally gone rogue?" As Ancelin spoke she reached for the dagger hidden in her pocket.

"Please, there's a reason we're charged to the prince and you're not; you know it well. Or do you need me to remind you?" Melva, too, reached for her knife as she spoke.

"Being worried about me is different from not wanting you and your gung-ho ways to mess something up! And I'll show you who needs babysitting; Melva, Ancelin, let's go, we'll show them what the Prince can do!" With that he stormed off.

"Perhaps some other time then," the twins spoke in unison to the liutenants before following their charge.

And then they fled, leaving Nantale glaring off after the prince. Finally with a sigh she motioned to Fulki and Gil.

"Enough. Perhaps I was hasty in making the orders, but the king would forgive me that. However, he won't forgive me if I get his son killed. So let us follow them with caution."

Elysia winced as her gusts of wind sent more than a few leaves at the nearest Forest Patroller--at least he was safely out of the battle now!

...She hoped he could get down from that sturdy tree safely though.
