5 seconds, and the ship launches; the huge sight of the moon below them, they fly away from the ship.
3.. 2.. 1.. Maybe Julak was just bluffing...
Suddenly, multiple explosions of energy appear in the ship, bursting apart metal and sending debris flying forth until the entire ship is completely destroyed.

They're safe finally.. or are they? They're in lunar orbit right now; they'd have to fly back to Earth.

Victorio huddles in a corner of the escape ship, to continue her nap.

Petra returns to wherever the heck people were, and collapses on the nearest seat, utterly exhausted from having to use her power on so many things simultaneously and quickly.

John sits down at the controls.

"Okay... never flown a spaceship into orbit before, but at least I have a bit of experience. Although I'm pretty sure this pod might burn up on re-entry."

"We need to get back to Earth. A second invasion is coming."

John moves the shuttle into a more long-term lunar orbit, waiting for Earth to be in the right position.

"Oh great, another Layar-Human war. Remember what happened last time?"

"Yeah, they got their asses beat."

Aisly sits in her corner of the shuttle, shivering.

"Okay, so we should go find the ass-beaters then. No mercy this time, they're getting their asses kicked back to wherever they came from for good this time.

Since this is an escape pod I don't think trying to re-enter an atmosphere is a good idea. Let's see if there any human ships around here."

"We're in a Layar ship! They'll just blast us apart if we get close!"

"You do know we aren't at war with the Layar at the moment right?"

"Hey, that country who we kicked the crap out of five years ago is sending some civilian planes over for no reason. We should trust them completely!"
