Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Get a spear and throw it at the King-checker, moving close to it for accuracy (also unless there're any other checkers nearby--use staff to do the same technique on it; ask for Twin's aid)

"Fuck! Fine then!"

Rolep goes back to his tactic of spitting on them, turning his attention back to the silver statue. However long he had left for this potion, this guy was where it was gonna go. The others seemed to be killing the wooden ones fine.

Take out the shoulders first, he figured. Had to make sure it couldn't do damage, after all.

Take its crappy balsa wood mace, throw it at an enemy, then repeat tackle.
The axeman Rolep fought is next in line. The mace hits it in the head with a satisfying crack, but you're not sure if it came from the helmet or the mace. It doesn't seem very fazed, though, beyond turning to face you. Your tackle, however, doesn't go as planned. You stumble on something a bit before the statue, and fall flat on your belly in front of its feet. It swings its axe at your back, but can't get much momentum from its stance, as it apparently can't crouch. The thin 'blade' still hurts, though. You don't think you broke anything, but immediately standing up doesn't feel like a good idea.

The flying spear positively impales the king's abdomen, no matter how it managed to pierce the metal. Tiruin charges and thrusts the staff a bit higher in its body, but the strike glances off. Twinwolf goes for the low sweep again, managing to dent the metal, but not cut it in any way. Rolep follows up by spitting onto the statue's shoulders, making it visibly bubble. The foul taste in his mouth is about to fade. The statue, overwhelmed, retreats forward, for lack of a better term, to a square on the north wall (right hand side from door), adopting a defensive stance ready to receive a charge, or possibly initiate one.

"Chess versus checkers. Move on the black tiles."

Advance while securing no loophole onto the latest tiles--move with Twinwolf; attack together.

If the rope is not lowered, Fallacy lowers it, ready to help pull someone up. If it is lowered, Fallacy waits to aid when necessary.

Rolep hocks up as much spit as he can, and lobs it at the statue's lower body, before stepping in to fight with his sword. He really hoped they could find a whetstone after this...

HugoLuman was glad the potion earlier stopped the chronic back pain, or else that strike would have really hurt. "I hope the king's weapon survives this!" (what is it again?)

Leg grapple. From this position, HugoLuman tries to unbalance the statue by wrapping around its legs.

Armach, who had been resting outside of the room and was listening to some music, lowered his headphones to his neck and heard the sounds of battle. "Oh, whoops." He quickly gets up and runs over to the door and looks in. "What the hell happened!" He sees Hugo trying to grapple one of the statues and drops down into the room and sprints to tackle it from behind.

"Oof... sorry Arc."

Arcvasti licks their paw, trying to reassert their dignity.

Arcvasti tries to stay out of the fighting. Their current form isn't terribly well suited to prey of this size or composition.
