Downloading it now.

Ode to GamerGate in the launcher.  Uninstalled instantly.  Keep your politics out of your product if your product isn't a political one.  Taking absolutely any stance will lose you a certain percentage of customers/supporters.

But I bet if it was an anti-GamerGate thing you'd be alright with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd likely find it slightly less off putting, sure (to be honest, I've rarely seen anyone arguing for or against the whole thing without cringing).  I still wouldn't touch the game, as I don't want to suddenly be presented with someone's personal little rant when I just wanna play.   It'd be dumb to stick it in there even if he opposed the 'movement', as that'd just be alienating a different chunk of potential players.  Mixing business and politics didn't exactly work out for Chick-fil-A, and I'd be surprised to see it do so here.

They're only alienating people who can't play a game because of a dev's political views. Get over it and play the game or don't, but I personally don't care that you're so horribly offended by some text on a screen that you can't bring yourself to play a game. Discuss it in the appropriate thread and leave that crap out of here.

Mixing business with politics worked out great for Chick-fil-A. They saw record sales and got millions in free advertising because of their stance. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/31/chick-fil-a-sales-2012_n_2590612.html

GamerGate is the new free-software movement: While it's been over for almost a year to most people, there's a niche audience that will play a game just for ideological purity's sake. A potentially very smart move if you're an indie dev that has no hope of getting exposure otherwise.

It's especially entertaining since at least one anti-GamerGate developer has went out of business this past week because no one was buying their game.

Let's move on. Toady used the banhammer swiftly back when GG was getting off its feet, and I'd hate to see this thread get taken down too.

I thought Gamersgate was a website/distribution platform which sold games while gamergate was the silly politics crap that we don't care about?

It is. I think that Shadowgandor thought for a moment that we were talking about the platform.

So is there any fix for the "? haulers" bug? I can't even test anything currently.

It was supposedly fixed but it's still around.  Hope to see a fix by the end of the day though.

Excellent. I like the look of the game but can't actually DO anything right now beyond what I have done, which was to make a bunch of planets and godspooge life onto one.

Initial bug was fixed, some remnant of the production bug remains stubbornly unsquished. I think it laid eggs or something. OH GOD KILL IT WIT-

Should be fixed soon. Jatt works hard on his game/spawn/thing. The initial bug was fixed in about a day, so he should have this fixed within the next day or so.

I'm not in a rush, was just curious if there was any movement. Once that particular snag is fixed I'll probably hop on to try it again.

The ONLY thing that was really said was that "Gaming journalism shouldn't be corrupt" the end.

Stop making an all or nothing about this. It is hardly a political view, don't pull the other aspects of GG into this.

It made me uncomfortable but only because it is very PSA.
