Spirit
Name: Marina
Description: Generally appears as either around the age of 16, or a translucent white cat. In human form, she is still translucent and a bit blurred, and still can’t directly affect the physical plane. She appears to be wearing a white shirt, and a blue jacket over it, with long red hair down to the middle of her back.
In cat form, she seems to be an albino Siamese cat.
Abilities: Marina can affect the speed and other forces of objects that she comes in contact with. This can be used in a multitude of ways. Stop a bullet, send someone flying when they were simply flicked, anything to do with force and speed.
Human
Name: Alicia Cane
Description: A 16 year old girl who is about 5’6”. She has short red hair that somewhat covers her left eye, and wears a red shirt under a white jacket, with a black skirt and white beret. ((Will probably draw her later))
Abilities: She is generally rather smart for her age. Her father was a nut about swordplay, so she knows how to use a rapier and generally has one on her at all times. She is more resilient than the average human.
Backstory:
Have you heard the stories of changelings? A human child, stolen away by spirits, is replaced by a child of those spirits. Well, the spirits certainly did, and some took a liking to the idea. The baby who would be known as Marina would have had a wonderful life with her doting parents. But she was chosen by the spirits. One night, she was stolen away, and another was in her place.
When the parents awoke, it was another child in the crib, but they didn’t notice, for the baby was simply an infant and they had been charmed by the spirits. This baby was Alicia.
As time passed, they both grew up. Marina was human, yes, but growing up among the spirits made her more like them, until she would be indistinguishable from them after the passage of 16 years, barring an open mind. Likewise, the spirit called Alicia grew more human in nature, although more stubborn than most, until she too seemed a normal human.
Even among the spirits, there are rivalries. But due to their natures, these rivalries are eternal. A rival group of spirits to the ones who had swapped Marina and Alicia got wind of the vulnerable child of the rival clan. Possessing the bodies of humans, they arrived in front of the Cain home, one fateful night.
As her parents tried and failed to hold them off, Alicia watched in terror. The spirits wanted to insult their rivals in the worst way conceivable: Killing their child in a mundane way. A bullet was fired.
Marina felt the danger of her double. She had no idea why, but she was drawn to this world. She met Alicia for the first time then, as the latter’s life ebbed away. In the final moments of Alicia’s life, Marina offered a deal. A permanent bond, would empower them both and let Alicia live.
When the town awoke the next morning, there were 5 adult corpses in the house, and Alicia was nowhere to be seen.
Combined Abilities:
When combined, Alicia’s true nature manifests, giving her much more resilience and speed than normal, while Marina’s nature makes her stronger and react faster. Marina’s ability to manipulate force gains a range and strength. They can practically fly by manipulating the speed of wind, make bullets go back into the shooter’s face, make an earthquake with a single stomp, among other things. In this form, there is a white glow around them, one that is almost painful to look at, and they move so fast as to be near invisible when moving.
