So, what's your predictions for Nintendo's Digital Event? I for one and hoping we get some sort of Metroid game by Retro  :P

A 3ds metroid would make me happy, I have no intention of acquiring a WiiU.

Looking through the trailers and placing my votes here and there, and then... That art style looks familiar. Another Neverhood game (or in the same universe as it)? Beak Beak Blog looks entertaining, and might have a fun story behind it.

EDIT:
As much of a screw-up the initial Uncharted playthrough was, at least it dispelled any "scripted performance"/"pre-rendered gameplay" calls that other displays tend to get called out for.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Can't wait for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain! I'm gonna get Ground Zeroes at the same time and play the whole thing as one massive game.

And suddenly, Muppets!

EDIT:
Mario Editor. Incoming Kaizo alert!

EDIT EDIT:
I love how the transitions are not only a gimmick for the presentation, but also a function of the game being featured in them.

I came in as the star fox thing was ending, so near the beginning.
And now it's over.

So, what did they actually show? I didn't see anything particularly interesting that we didn't already know about, except maybe the multiplayer Zelda...?
They didn't even mention Monster Hunter Cross, so we probably -are- going to have to wait until 2017 for it.
(EDIT: A commentator I'm watching who identifies as a 'Nintendo Fanboy' is sayin that the WiiU is dying and the new big Zelda game is going to be on the "NX" thing. More accurately, he compares this Nintendo conference thing as "a puppy that shat on the rug then looked at you with an adorable and innocent face.")

Oh well, let's see what Square has to show... except they already announced FF7 at the Sony conference for some reason...?

Didn't we already know that an Animal Crossing was coming, though? I don't really follow it enough to know.

Ok, press conferences over. I should have stayed in bed.

Now the actual E3 starts.

That chibi faux-Metroid thing doesn't look very good (gameplay or visuals-wise), especially considering the graphics fidelity I'm used to seeing on the 3DS. Rather sad, considering Retro has such a good record.

Just saw that metroid trailer, it's horrifying. Nintendo is dead to me now.

That was a pretty average press conference on Nintendo's part. Not fantastic, not terrible, just...kinda meh overall. On one hand, the new Star Fox looks amazing, Triforce Heroes will be great and the third-party support is quite strong. On the other hand, we've got Nintendo leaning on the Mario franchise a liiittle too hard (even by Nintendo's standards) and this...thing...

Spoiler: I mean, really? (click to show/hide)

With that being said, it was a hilarious conference. I'm a huge Muppets fan so naturally I was laughing my head off the whole time. And it wasn't helping that the chat kept screaming "FURRIES!" over and over. Between those two things, I was finding it hard to breathe.

Also, on the subject of Metroid Prime: Federation Force...It's a spin-off, people. Cut it some slack.

Wow. That Metroid trailer. I'm not even really a fan of the series, but good gods below was that terrible.

HOLY SHIT. Guys, nintendo's e3 page is saying Star Fox was a co-development with Platinum Games! Now why the hell didn't they mention this in the direct!?
