So, a while ago I discovered a player made map, and it's been a while since we did this.

The map features MASSIVE underground areas, both dangerous and safe (or as safe as the surface world), which would be really suitable for us Bay12ers, and it generally looks pretty awesome.

I'm proposing we find a server running this map and proceed to do another dwarven invasion.

It would probably help people find this thread if Ark was somewhere in the title...

Anyway, just got the game, not yet experienced enough to vote but I'd be happy to start out with B12 if you'll have me.

I wouldn't mind playing with B12.

PvP is fine for me, so far it seems that the population isn't composed entirely of murderous psycopaths, which from what I gather is unusual in the genre.
no preference of server. I never got above level 7 , so restarting is not a big deal.

Bought the game so I'll probably join the clan once I figured out the bare basics of the game.

PTW until they fix performance issues or I get a better PC.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

By the way, will we all be of Dwarven height and body structure?
I wouldn't mind that actually.

PTW

Though I can't seem to find the server mentioned in the OP when I look through the unofficial ARKs.

The issue with dwarves/hobbits, as I've found out though, is you sink into saddles.

There's a chance that probably would be fixed in some future update.

I would be interested. I picked up the game on a whim the other day and have been enjoying it so far. Got one char high enough to use bows, but I can start anywhere.

How does the ark upload/download thing work? Could we transfer our chars to the new server?

I know you can "upload" items, I assume to transfer between worlds. The only char I've gotten to the obelisk thing was only level 10 though, and he couldn't upload character - only items. I assume there must be a min level requirement to upload characters.

I could be interested in joining this, I bought the game and am currently awaiting a computer that will allow me to experience the game in something better than what looks like late-nineties graphics.
I've had better luck using Steams built-in servers listing (right-click Steam icon, select servers) rather than using the in-game listing.

I'd like pvp for server, inland for base. Haven't seen caves yet, but that would work if there aren't crazy monsters in them.

For server I'd prefer a US based one since my ping with euro servers is pretty terrible. Otherwise no preference.

Can't say I've ever made it far enough in-land to really know what it's like. I've mostly played along the beaches. Caves and mountains sound more dwarfy, if that's what people are aiming for.

Any mode is fine, though I would prefer PvP or PvE to Hardcore.

Yeah hardcore is a bit too hardcore for a game where you can die randomly while logged out.
