First, san, does haste give a Speed boost or is it useless to us? Second, shit my turns are going to take forever given my degree of draw.

I think my post is good to go then. I suppose Instant spells not cast during your turn don't take an action, correct? If I do need to save up an action to cast Red Elemental Blast during an enemy's turn then do so instead of tapping Varkahl using the Paradise Mantle (ignore the second conditional).

Basically what Haste does is let you roll a 1d6 modifier based on level to augment your speed score for turn calculation. Otherwise, Acts just like it's card effect.

not really, the build's meant to ramp. Mantle doesn't allow that. I'd need an untap engine or something.
