You guys pretty happy with the state of post release patch support at this time? Any performance or functionality problems yet to be resolved there?

There was an issue with mods consuming more memory and that seems to be fixed.

My issue before also was figuring out what mods to use as there are so many.  I found a workable solution is to use a list of mods used by one of the YT I follow, Christopher Odd and started my own campaign using those list of mods... I'm content with having Rogue, Trooper and Infantry class to go with the vanilla xcom2 classes.

So i can't comment yet on how well it works, but we've got a survival mode of sorts now.

*granted, the sectoid belongs in a hybrid horror movie/sex comedy.  Lewd ragdolls for days.
Speaking of, note the genders of the rulers.

'zerkers were always female to Firaxis, you could have heard it in streams and such, and they have a Queen correspondingly.

Vipers have a king. Make of that what you will.

I'd like to point out that the king compared to regular vipers is pretty flat chested

Is he trying to imply that because Mutons are all female and have a queen; Vipers having a king must track backwards to them all being male?

Because that is not good logic.

And that is even besides any argument that might be made against a theory of "vipers are all male" such as how the devs have outright stated that the vipers/thinmen are female and how they've repeatedly used female pronouns to refer to them.

I mean, I wouldn't mind if them snektits came with a sneksnek but it just don't seem to line up that way.

I will admit...

It is RARE in fiction, outside erotica I guess, for there to be a almost female only race where the ruler is male.

And by rare... I am trying to think of another example.

This is assuming, of course, that the Viper leader is male, and not just what Vipers would look like if they had no genetic manipulation (from what I understand the breasts are a side effect)

I'm assuming the DLC will have an Avatar ruler for the final mission, to give the final battle an actual final boss.
Dude. Are you suggesting they make the final mission even harder?

Duke Nukem kills first avatar
Two more appear in the same turn, plus escorts
They rush my position
Chuck Norris executes one.
Serious Sam and Doomguy both fire at the second one. Another execution.
Game won.

Talk about underwhelming

I don't know what Avatars you fought, man. Mine did a lot less rushing and a lot more mind control from a distance + summoning aaall the minions. Still won on my first try, but it was a close one. It was a good fight.

Could be that the leadership is male because of the relative rarity of male to female ratio, where the males are mostly required back off the front lines to do required breeding and as a result the females have taken up the military caste while males have taken up leadership and backline stuff. Assuming of course, that the Ethereals aren't doing the typical clone breeding they seem to do for Sectoids.
