Yep, with venomorphs having obvious egg-sacks, and vipers being an alternate morphology of the same species, it is clear that the Vipers are male as was previously suggested...

And given that thin men were morphologically more similar to the venomorphs and had no real resemblance to vipers at all, it is clear that the thin-men were all female...

Out of canon, they might notbe. In cannon, who knows.
Few living beings are recognizable as anything in particular once they leave a cannon.

'Few' in what sense?  I'm going to hazard a guess that the majority of non-microscopic living beings whom have exited a cannon were entirely recognizable after they left.  Weighed against the total number of living beings, sure, there's only a few of them.

I like to imagine that the aliens in NuCom that magically inserted from the sky were being fired out of a Heinlein-style cannon (or was that from Steakley's 'Armor'?) on an orbital troop ship.  Now that the TwoCommies are flying their own xenoship, maybe we can have our own human cannonballs.

But thats just my head canon.  (fakedit: SHIT, beaten to the headcanon pun)

Actually, 'human cannons' are just large springboards, or rarely some compressed air. Shoving a living thing into a cannon with gunpowder is either the prequel to Slayers 'Raining Blood', or an embarrassing affair of being stuck in a metal tube covered in burns.

That was pretty nifty. I really like the character pool idea now that I know more about what it entails.
