He overhears Garrick. "Oh, yes! Do tell us, adventuring kobold!"

"A warlock, you say?" Ella's hand drops to a subtle ready position, her fingers dancing in the air, ready to grab the hilt of the sword suspended from her belt. "There are many types of warlocks, as I understand it. Which are you?"

"Helping people! Me and Art and Ella are all on a quest to do good! Or, something like that. Ella what were we doing this way again? I forgot. Again."

"Aren't I?" Kikrik beamed, standing up proudly. "There should be more kobolds around. Too many icky halflings so far."

She stuck her tongue out to emphasize the point.

Kikrik seems to notice this motion. "Yik yik! Not so high-strung! Bad for health, makes people think you're mean! Yanlias here already said he was the adventuring type!"

"Yik yik! What are you implying?! I have plenty of... stuff! Experience! With things!"

"Officially, you are my retinue to the Council of Races in Ile, where I will represent the Barony of Ice." She pauses for a moment, and absently mindedly dusts off the lozenge on the shoulder of her armor, all while maintaining a poker face.
"Unofficially, we're looking for adventure." She grins widely at the thought of adventure.

"A warlock, you say?" Ella's hand drops to a subtle ready position, her fingers dancing in the air, ready to grab the hilt of the sword suspended from her belt. "There are many types of warlocks, as I understand it. Which are you?"

Kikrik seems to notice this motion. "Yik yik! Not so high-strung! Bad for health, makes people think you're mean! Yanlias here already said he was the adventuring type!"

"A girl can't be too careful about the company she keeps," she cautions. Nonetheless, she casually returns her hand to her side.

Yanlias seemed apparently unaffected by the threatening movement he glimpsed Ella doing, though he smiled when she lowered her hand. "As I and the kobold have said, the adventuring type!"

"Unofficially, we're looking for adventure." She grins widely at the thought of adventure.

His smile beamed like sunshine. "Kindred spirits! Officially and unofficially, I'm joining you!"

Garrick looked his travelling companions over. A strange, mismatched lot, claiming to be out for adventure. Still, they were outsiders, and even after a number of years away from Dwarvish lands distrust still ran deep.
Then again, he was as much an outsider himself.

"What do you know of Meztorish?" His voice drops, settling into the even tones of a practiced storyteller.

Yanlias leaned in closer. He could tell the dwarf was a storyteller by the change in his tone. "I don't know anything about this Meztorish."
