You are on a wide road cutting through a dense forest. The caravan you are travelling in is going at a decent pace, but there is plenty of time to talk with your fellow travelers before you reach your destination.

"Good to be back in the deep woods," mumbled Yanlias to himself.

He felt apprehensive about going to Ile, mingling with his kind once again. Still, the wind blows where the wind blows. He catches sight of three passengers on the caravan, quite unlike the rest of the folk there. Sensing adventure among them, he threw caution and social norms to the wind and walked up to them.

"Hello! I have the feeling I should join you three." Without asking, he barges in between the trio. "My name's Yanlias. Yanlias Coldsun."

Ella had been distracted by the foreign sights of the mainland. So this is what a forest is like. Ice was stuck in a blizzard for most of the year, as was Norethra for that matter. It felt so close and tight... so many potential ambush positions... and the cover the trees provided! Such an interesting challenge!
Despite her analysis of how to get the jump on someone in this arena, she completely missed the sudden approach of the Eladrin.
"HOLY-" She stops herself before she swears aloud.
After catching her breath, she speaks. "My apologies, stranger. If you care to join us, I don't have a complaint about it, but I can't speak for these two. I am Ella Kendrick. We are headed to Ile, Yanlias. Where are your travels taking you?"

With a jovial look on his face, Yanlias shrugs. "Wherever the wind blows, Ella Kendrick. And the wind is taking me with you four!"

(I thought it there was four of us. There are five, sorry. :P ))

((Best o'luck to you Caroline. Take your time :) ))

"Ugh, a fey." Garrick grimaces, visibly - and jokingly. "Still, you smell better than the last I met, so you'll do."

Garrick proffers a hand, typically dwarven, a thin layer of grey hair sprouting from its back. The hair on his head is worn long, tied back in a ponytail of length to envy his beard. Both are as grey as on the rest of his body, though that seems to be their natural colour rather than a result of age.

He seems very at ease amongst the trees, considering his race, and he has dimples in the corners of his mouth.

"Name's Garrick, ands we head to Ile, though that's likely no surprise."

Yanlias smiles. "Well met, Garrick." He notices the dwarf's comfort among the trees. How strange! Yanlias' gut feeling did not disappoint. "You seem at ease with the trees, Garrick the Dwarf."

"That would be because I am." He winks, but does not elaborate further.

Arti raises an eyebrow and leans over to speak to the gray dwarf.
"If you don't mind the question, why is that? I've never met a dwarf acustomed to living with plants taller than himself."

"Guessing you've never seen an Underdark 'shroom then?"

He pauses for a moment, usual joking smile slipping from his face.

"Let me just say that the nickname lichen isn't exactly a compliment among the Dwarves." He shakes his head. "Still, it isn't as much of an insult as you might believe."

"Either way, I've been away from home for a long while."

Garrick snorts.

"That, lass, is an answer you'd have to earn."

((Indeed, take your time.))

"A new friend! Welcome!" Kikrik beams at Yanlias, her cheerful manner somewhat at odds with her and her gear's sinister coloration and style.

"Do you wander a great deal?"

"Who, me or the fey?"

Garrick points at Yanlias with his thumb.

"Myself, I go from place to place. Aimlessly enough, I guess. Hopefully the council might listen though." He shrugs.
