Nah, I saw the glimmer of a possible player-run plot, which looks promising. I'm now trying to see how much mischief I can get myself into in the meantime.

Supernatural Type: A wasp person, with all the expected abilities. For some reason she also has mammal glands. Whats up with that? I dunno. She can also summon wasps to help her. She does not possess the natural ability to hide her true form, so the principal will have to cast an illusion.

Description: She looks like THIS except with arms and legs. Also a lot more humanoid. She was expected to be the queen of her hive, but didn't want to and ran away from home.  She usually has to wear dresses to cover up her abdomen. Otherwise, she is usually just wearing a skirt and top or jeans and a top. She is shyish when meeting new people, but she is very flamboyant around friends.

Why is everything eldritch abominations with you? Why can't she just be a supernatural? Isn't that enough?
I pine for the days when the supernatural was enough, but no, you have to go for eldritch abominations before even deciding how the supernatural works.

I suspect it may be so that they don't have to ask half the player base for their conflicting ideas on how the supernatural works.

Often, from what I've seen, the eldritch is used to basically just ignore some work. So basically, hedging all their motivations and capabilities solely on the idea that they are eldritch and thus not requiring any explanation at all.

... Generally it's better to have a specific idea of what they do and who they are first, even if you're going to have WHY they have those priorities be a bit... unknowable.
