Option #1 is certainly my favorite; it's easiest on my eyes and matches the perspective of everything else far better than the others.  Also makes most sense in underground areas, but I'll leave it there - no need for a rant  :-X

And... 152 overrides for walls  :o

I'd say #2, since the 3/4 perspective seems to match up. Reminds me of the 3/4 Zelda games.

3. but with diagonal walls instead of sharp corners. Works well with your black background.

Diagonal 3D walls aren't...really...possible?

I guess that's one of the downsides that comes with 3D tiles. In DF, it's geometrically impossible to make diagonal 3D walls line up correctly.

In that case, thanks for the mockup, and continue with what you think is best. :)

I'd like #1 so large area walls & pillars wouldn't be weird and it fit the viewpoint so well.

Find #1 the most comfortable to look at. #3 is a distant second.

I prefer the first one too. Keep up the good work, really like where this tileset is going.

I voted 1. I like 2 and 3 better in most respects, but those weird pointy wall-tops ruin it for me. They don't look like the kind of thing you could walk on.

That's my problem too, 3 looks neat artistically but it's harder to see what is going on while 1 tells me at a glance what is what.

I voted #2 because as I said to you, I think the design is pretty rad and goes along really well with the rest of the set, say #3 if people really think is that difficult to look at 2. The three options are good but 1 is more common.

I have taken the liberty to edit the number 3 on your image, to see if I can help to make it more readable. I've changed the blue on the top walls with the same gray as the bottom ones and applied the blue to the "inner" wall in the center, so 4 colors instead of 5, same as #2

Hmm. So...the lightsource is coming from the west and the north/south faces have the same shading? Interesting. I'll swap out that cyan for a black and add your version to post #89.

Well... yes. Just realized you wanted the light to come from the southwest. To be honest I just swapped the cyan with that grey because of the contrast, that middle grey serves as the shaded part contrasting with the white and as the lighter part contrasting with the darker grey, so reducing color count (since it seems that matters to you) by one. I liked your stylistic choice of cyan though (that's why I used it in the center of the walls.)

Just thought that, as per the comments, people seems to have a problem reading the perspective. To keep the light source in the southwest you can either use another (darker) shade of grey or another (a bit lighter) cyan. Or do what you did in #2 and use the same darker grey for the north and east walls... Or just ignore me completely since you already know what you're doing ;)

Aaaand I'll stop messing with your set, I promise :)

I voted #1 because mobs walk on walls and I think it will translate easier to TWBT in multistory constructions for the same reason you axed the perspective tree stumps (which I thought looked really cool BTW).

Holy cow man, if you plan on doing 152 overrides, #1 will be far from plain looking or the Tron look you have going on in the demo.
