Uh huh. So, if I were to vote for you, I wouldn't have to justify it?
Youd have to explain why youre voting obvs town.

What is it that makes you an obvious town?

Argh.  I'm calling it now: continuing to focus on questioning roo is pretty much a waste of time.  He's not going to answer questions, which unfortunately is pretty normal for him.  With everyone focusing on him (and his own play going downhill quickly), we're going to get nowhere.

However, roo only claimed to be town once (PPE: twice, now) this game, in his first post (PPE: and just now).  The "obviously town" thing so many are going for comes from this:
Let's say you're right Peradon. doesn't that mean town wins? I'm confident Jack can see I'm super obvious townie. And he kills one of the other two and we just lunch the next one.
What is this?  A hypothetical statement about what would happen if suddenly two people quickhammered me on top of roo's vote, in response to Peradon's anti-voting question.  Roo's not exactly the greatest English-speaker, but it's pretty clear to me that yes, IF two people were to leap on to me and hammer me, roo would be obvtown and the two hammerers would be obvscum.  Note the use of present tense in the rest of the statement as well as in the "super obvious townie" part.  Of course, roo has twice refused to answer a question that would probably confirm my reading of the statement, but that's to be expected from him.

Deus, Peradon, TDS, and roo: Do any of you disagree with this interpretation?  Why?

Being the default RVS scumpick is annoying.
TDS: Ah.  Unvote.

Peradon: I've made some comments on the quickhammer 'threat' both now and a few posts back.  What do you think of those comments?  If I were to, say, place a vote on you, Peradon, how much would you panic about a potential quickhammer?

PPE:
Uh huh. So, if I were to vote for you, I wouldn't have to justify it?
Youd have to explain why youre voting obvs town.
...I think I finally understand what roo's trying to do.  His strategy is to troll everyone.

Jack, I disagree with your interpretation. The phrasing makes it read that roo thinks you should believe he's obviously town right now, not in the hypothetical case of you being quickhammered. And in any case, it would be genuinely stupid of a scumteam to quickhammer like that in the first place. The first and third people on the wagon would be the most likely to be scum, not the second and third.

Uh huh. So, if I were to vote for you, I wouldn't have to justify it?
Youd have to explain why youre voting obvs town.
Why? Why would anyone have to explain anything they do if you refuse to do the same? Why are you obviously town?

It would be stupid and scum would never do it.  Peradon, though, disagreed, suggesting that roo's vote on me showed no care for the possibility of two scum quickhammering (second and third votes, specifically, being scum charging on all of a sudden), which is what triggered roo's comment.  This is the context roo's statement must be read in: it is an answer to Peradon's question.

I see no reason for roo to say that he thinks I think he's super obvious town, and it does not fit with either the rest of that post or the rest of roo's comments about me.  It only, and I mean only, makes sense as a hypothetical.

Deus, Peradon, TDS, and roo: Do any of you disagree with this interpretation?  Why?
That does make sense. If only roo would stop avoiding questions now and answer or himself.
Peradon: I've made some comments on the quickhammer 'threat' both now and a few posts back.  What do you think of those comments?  If I were to, say, place a vote on you, Peradon, how much would you panic about a potential quickhammer?
No, what you said makes sense. I just didnt comment on it earlier, and havent voted because I have nothing to back up a hunch I'm going on.

But yes, I agree with you Jack, tunneling on roo wont get us anywhere.

@Peradon So what now? The game has been focused on me. Do you have a read on me? If not why not? Saying I havent been answering questions is not a reason for a lack of a read btw.

What do you think of deus? It has been fairly clear I am not answering and he insists on asking questions. Is his action scum motivated or town motivated?

Last game deus did the same thing as scum; continue to ask questions when i made it clear I wasnt gonna answer. Do you think this is a tell of his?

Lying and deflection. Good thing you're obvious town, or that might seem suspicious.

Deus Asmoth, this is a beautiful reaction.  Absolutely beautiful.  Waving off attacks lazily.  Responding to the raising of a specific issue (your continued push to get roo to answer being like your behaviour in BM LIV) with buzzwords and reiteration of your talking point (the talking point depending, of course, on a decontextualized statement that, although after the introduction of a hypothetical and before the conclusion of said hypothetical, you claim must not have been part of said hypothetical).

So, how about you actually respond to roo's point?  And, for that matter, explain the "lying" part of your blustery statement?

I messed that post up pretty bad, and I only just now noticed. I think what I was saying is pretty clear though, so I'm not going to bother...

Right now I have a slight town read on you, but let me say you're really really hard to get a read on. It's town based on your meta pretty much.

Deus is leaning scum, but that is completely hunch based, and I have nothing to back it up. Also, roo, why wont you answer questions? If you're town, you will have nothing to hide, and thus answer the questions, am I correct?

I havent played with deus enough to know his playstyle, so I cant give him a read based on meta.

Deus: What is he lying about specifically, and if he is lying, why didnt you put a vote on him.

Jack: roo is lying about him not answering my questions, since the post immediately before the one that he claimed not to be answering my questions was a response to me. Roo has claimed to be obvious town outside of the hypothetical situation it was initially raised in, and until he actually does something to justify it, I don't see any reason not to bring it up, especially since he raised the point himself in his answer to my question that he's claiming not to be answering. As for me using buzzwords, roo's actions are the best example of trying to deflect attention onto someone else that I've come across so far, so why would I not use that word to describe what he did? And why would I respond to the points roo raised to another player? As a side note, you're using 'blustery' wrong. You're thinking of 'snarky' or 'snide'.

Peradon, above. And I didn't vote for him because lying and baseless accusations seem to be par for the course for roo. The only reasons I have for wanting roo to get lynched at the moment are his serial question dodging and a personal dislike for his attitude, which aren't really good enough in my book.

Ha... I'm sorry, but no. It seems pretty evident that roo was talking about generally not answering questions. It looks like you're just trying to cover up here. Depending on your response, I'm will probably hammer you. Give me a good reason not to, because you are reading scum pretty bad right now.

Roo keeps avoiding actual answers. This reluctance to provide information makes him seem scummy to me.

Lying and deflection. Good thing you're obvious town, or that might seem suspicious.

On the other hand, Deus Asmoth keeps making strong accusations and seems to be pushing a lynch on roo for odd reasons.

roo and Deus Asmoth are looking kinda scummy right now. Luckily, there's a vengekill, so if Deus is town, he can vengekill roo. It's hammertime.
