The prisoners looked at eachother. It would not be long before accusations start flying around.

roo: Your psychic powers need improvement.  I'm town.  Tell me, though, why it took you a whole hour to back your words with a vote?

TDS: How does being paired with me in the first scumteam guess make you feel?

Deus Asmoth: This game is skewed a bit in the favour of scum.  Does that unnerve you?

Peradon: Tell me what sort of information I am trying to get with each of the above questions.

Roo: You do realize that there is a hammer in play, and if the mafia wished, they could quick-hammer Jack At, right? Thus, I think it would be best if you don't vote until you are absolutely sure.

Jack At: What do you think of Roo voting for you right off the bat like that? Do you think it's just meant as an RVS?

PPE:
Peradon: Tell me what sort of information I am trying to get with each of the above questions.
The Roo question is completely justified, and a serious question, and I think you truly wish to know the answer. TDS's and DA's questions are entirely emotionally based, which makes them seem very much like RQS questions. Thus, I think you are merely trying to get the ball rolling with those questions.

Jack At: Here's a question right back at you: Why would you ask me to tell you what you are trying to ask? It sounds like a test of newbieness to me, and makes me slightly uncomfortable. I find it odd that anyone would ask that kind of a question outside of BM. Thus, I think I'm going to FOS Jack At.

Oh noooo guys he thwarted jack thwarted us lol. Damn him and his tricksy questions.
To answer tho seeing the time stamps yes a whole hour. Although I suspect that wasn't the actual question you intended nor the answer you might have wanted.

Jack do you get easily annoyed?

Let's say you're right Peradon. doesn't that mean town wins? I'm confident Jack can see I'm super obvious townie. And he kills one of the other two and we just lunch the next one.

@Peradon Do you have any reason to believe my vote isn't rvs?

I'm not quite sure what you're saying, but no, town wouldn't necessarily win. If we lynch town day one, and the lynchee kills another town, its over. There is a good chance that wont happen, but it would be better to just be careful with our votes.

As for a reason to believe that your vote wasn't RVS, I don't have one. Its pretty dang random.

roo, why are you so eager to plug yourself as town? You've done it twice now. And how can someone be 'super obvious townie' less than a day into the game?

Jack: unnerve wouldn't be the right word, I think. It's an uphill battle sure, but worst case scenario of town dying today, the vengekill has a 50/50 chance of hitting scum. The scum's advantage is roughly the same as white has in chess, which seems pretty reasonable.

Because time discrepancies can show indecisiveness. If you were so convinced that he's mafia, why wouldn't you vote immediately, instead of waiting an hour?

Also, roo, what do you say about the quick-hammer possibility?

On quick-hammers: The scumteam is not going to be so foolish as to commit suicide like that.  This setup's built in such a way as to neutralize the threat of un(der)justified rapid hammers D1: quickhammerers are vigkill bait and lynch bait.  We lasted eight games without being terrified of even placing one vote on any player, and we had best return to not being terrified of voting.

Jack At: What do you think of Roo voting for you right off the bat like that? Do you think it's just meant as an RVS?
Peradon: RVS, and possibly a reaction test.  Pretty silly.
Why would you ask me to tell you what you are trying to ask? It sounds like a test of newbieness to me, and makes me slightly uncomfortable. I find it odd that anyone would ask that kind of a question outside of BM. Thus, I think I'm going to FOS Jack At.
The question to you, while useful in giving a glimpse of how you see the game, was intended first and foremost as a general signal to all readers that my other questions have concrete goals behind them beyond scattering words around the first few pages.  You missed the signal completely.
Let's suppose for a second, though, that it was the newbieness test you thought it was.  What would make that suspicious?

roo: I think you misunderstood the question.  I did not ask whether you had taken an hour to vote (you pretty clearly had).  I asked why you took that hour.  For what reasons did you wait an hour before voting?
Jack do you get easily annoyed?
Depends on how I feel.

Just to be absolutely clear, you are saying that I would see you as obvtown if two players were to suddenly quickhammer me on top of your vote, and not that I see you as obvtown now, right?

I said I found it odd that anyone would newb-test in a non-BM. That question felt a lot like a newb-test, which made me suspicious, because there would be no reason to set an actual test up. There must be another reason for the test, something deeper. Perhaps an attempt to buddy up to me, or something of the sort.

But, you said it yourself, you weren't newb-testing me, and thus this line of thought has moved into the hypothetical realm.

Why would you need to give a signal to the other players that your questions were serious? Shouldn't it be self evident that all questions should be taken seriously?
