Trader of Favors, a Pactbinder.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You tell Narguthep to keep an eye out for kobold spies, and to catch one if he is able. You also ask him to render some small aid to Thalei in keeping her safe from harassement. To Thalei explain that you are going out to seek the power you need to defeat Kerrick from the goblins, reassuring her that you will return two weeks from now at the very latest.

That done you leave the cave with little ceremony, making way for the goblin fortress barely within sight.

...

The plains are a great wriggling mass of "plantlife" that squirms and fidgets underfoot. Mostly it's not difficult to walk upon, but the particularly thick tendrils prove to be bad footing even here where the ground is largely flat. As you travel you stick to the better worn paths, where the tendrils have been either totally trodden away or at least been crushed underfoot. It takes you a few hours to reach your destination. Great furrows and ditches in the earth have been dug around the place, the ground almost seeming churned. Here and there you spot tunnels and alcoves built into the furrows, many of which with armed goblins protecting them. The fortress itself consists of three interconnected towers, each with great gates built into them.

You do not yet believe you've been spied, but with your keen eyes you can see the telltale signs of many patrols and sentries. Any closer and you will certainly be seen. It may be worth considering how exactly you wish to make your appearance. You suppose you could also attempt to sneak past the most of the military presence here.

Openly walk up to one of the outer patrols, one small enough that we could easily "handle" them: Ask them who they serve, and this entities stance on demons such as ourself.
Not that hung up on the ruler part, though it gives a nice touch to not ask about the general goblin opinion towards demons, but the one that really matters - their rulers' opinion about them. Well, it isn't truly insulting either, but even as a lesser demon, we should have a modicum of pride.

Obviously, we should gauge their true intentions with our horns, possibly even before we speak to them, and act accordingly should they be of hostile manner.

Why are we at the goblin fortress instead of killing werebears, again?

All fanfics are heresy, each and every one, especially the shipping ones. Those are by far the worst.

Due to that crazy democratic system, called majority vote!

Well, and due to a tribe of kobolds, mages and other entrapments, possibly trumping our demons strength. Besides, its a goblin fortress. We oughta  be able to work with that, or them, quite easily.
