F, C(50 gold), B(no more than 25 gold) and A (can we sell the shortsword, too?)
Especially seek specialist weapon training. Martial arts and ranged weapon included

My preferred plan is - keep levelling monk by visiting the temple, get one or two levels of gladiator from general experience and get few levels of specialist weapon training....

This time we need to get a proper weapon and armor + skills to use this set.

After that, profits should go for contract, banking and to Liagora (50 gold per battle)

Let's NOT spend all our money on our goddess, please. 50 gold per battle is a lot.

War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

What are you going to apply the General Level to?
Missed this

+1 to Gladiator level
It is logical and it is useful for future battles in the arena and may help us to fight in a more entertaining way

Sounds about right. Not sure what, if any, use a better room will be, or if we should put that money towards the contract and possible sponsoring, but still.

I think we should give a fifth of all our earnings (sans sponsors) to Liagora - twice as much as the regular tithe. What do we get from Gladiator? What's our contract, how much is it, and why do we want to pay it off?

All fanfics are heresy, each and every one, especially the shipping ones. Those are by far the worst.

You are buying rights. Freedom of movement in the city, the ability to get sponsors both public and private, getting a cut of the bets made on you, so on. If you make enough, you can buy your own contract out and become a free gladiator, which will eventually lead to nobility, so on. You can't take revenge at the bottom of the totem pole. As far as costs? They go up with level, because the owners don't particularly WANT you to be free.

Getting a better room has a few effects. First of all, you'll actually be able to see your inventory and be able to store more than a few items. It's a more secure place to keep coin than carrying it (thieves exist here.) It raises your MP regeneration rate (getting 3 between battles instead of 2, to start off) and will save on medical care expenses for serious wonds. It influences your sponsors and will lead to more plot opportunities.

As far as levels in Gladiator go, I basically tell people "Think of any skill that you can reasonably connect with the concept of 'gladiator' in your mind, and assume you're better at it." You're not going to be as good with a sword as a swordsman but you'll know how to use it well enough against a variety of enemies. You're similar to a fighter, but can gain effects from working the crowd. So on.

+1, though for C, we should give 100 gold and for B, we should see what rooms are available before we set up a budget.

Levels in Monk help our unarmed combat right? Gladiator should help in that as well I'd hope. Lets tithe the minimum accepted amount and put the rest to our contract. We want the right to get sponsors. Once we have sponsor money, we can start cooking for real.

The last battle was harsh, but we are under no obligation to pick that tough of a fight next time. Between rented weapons, magic, and the fact that we have hooves and horns, we have no great need of purchasing too much in the way of material things (or rooms to store them in) over the shortrun.

This could be insulting to our god, especially since or because we're a saint. The bare minimum should not be our goal and we should therefore tithe at least double the minimum accepted amount. A better place to live might be useful if we want to avoid getting assassinated or poisoned by mobsters or whatnot.

This is against good roleplaying. I want 50 gold because it is no less than we offered last time, but have no objections to paying 100 gold....

After some consideration I changed my mind. We can easily survive one more battle with shortsword\loaned weapons, while contract can improve our profits.

Level up as a gladiator
B) Buy a better room! - Look for options
C) Pay tithes to Liagora - 100 gold
D) Put money towards the Contract - look for options,
G) Bank the gold - Ask about conditions
J) Something else - if time is left, socialize with other gladiators

but my first variant is good, too :)

-1. We're probably gonna be the one killing these guys. Let's not get attached.

1. So far we  can choose our opponents so killing a friend is not that likely
2. If we will be forced to fight with one of our friends... well more plot reason to hate our owners
3. By socializing we can get useful knowledge
4. Our ultimate goal is to leave the arena, if we take few surviving friends with us, we will get a nice band to start from
5. Group fights can happen in future, better have allies that want you alive and not care only about their own survival
6. We can share a room, making a rent cheaper.
7. Learning about other gladiators is fun storywise

Maybe we should wait until after we do a group fight. It'll help to break the ice when it comes to initialising socialisation, seeing as we'll have some prior history at that point. Starting now out of nowhere would be a bit awkward.

True. Also, I think tithes should be all or nothing. Impiety and all that, and we only just became good friends with the sun elf. Let's not lose a friend.

all or nothing is way to extreme way to handle that. We are pious, not fanatic ready to starve only to give all money to his religion
