buckle up and prepare for takeoff

Make sure I'm strapped in and hold on.
You strap yourself in.

Curl up into a ball to minimize my surface-to-volume ratio and hopefully avoid getting hit in the process.
You curl up in a ball in the corner of the ship

"The sense is in Algis, who guides protecting sense. May sense in him guides us to safety.
Смысл в Алгисе, проводнике смысла защищающего. Пусть смысл в нём проведёт нас к безопасности."

Bartholomew quietly prays.
Join Brother Lars in turreting
You...seem to forget you're inside the ship. I hope you don't intend to fire from inside.

"O Algis, please shield your disciples as we egress from this planet where we have done Steve's work!  May we walk in the light of Steve and may Pathmas ever find us in his favor.  Amen."

Pray for safety of team.  Hold Raduga and be a laser turret.
if there is any way to get a realtime view of what is going on outside, I bring it up. If necessary, I'm going to be standing by with my Mass-Manip amp to deflect incoming projectiles. otherwise: lets get gone!

edit: will coordinate with Hasala on this.

Same. Coordinate if possible. (Hand gestures and such.)
Provide camera/cam-eye feeds of the outside. Warn people about bad things.
Remember that my body should shield part of the shuttle.
Shoot anything bad coming this way that can be shot if I can.
Help Kriellya move the shuttle with my remaining rockets if I can and if it would be safe or if it looks like we need to dodge immediately and Kri is not going to move/is unaware of the danger.

You all make ready to defend the ship as best you can.

Alright, time to go! Battlesuits, keep an eye out for threats as we go, do what you can to alert me to threats and keep us safe.

Watch for attacks! Rendezvous with the shuttle fleet, get off this pile of fungus!
You lift off, managing to get up above the surface but this ship is handling like a drunk brick. You  don't think you'll be able to dodge anything slower then a meandering GPS satellite, let alone targeted surface to air/space attacks. Luckily, for the moment at least, the planet seems far more focused elsewhere. The ship rises slowly into the upper atmosphere. At this point you could call for some of the other ships to come to you and provide cover, but you're not sure that would be a good idea. Them all moving over here would draw attention to you, and you really don't have the speed to keep up with them. At best you'd form one giant slow ass convoy. Question is: Is the cover they'd give you enough to counter act the attention they'd bring?

Choice is up to you.

Hmmm.... I've got a metal pole, some rope and some duct tape. Could I use those along with whatever thrust I have left in my rockets to spearfish/lasso/grab a shuttle as it passes by and fly away with it? That way they'll be able to go faster and I'll have a chance of survival. And if the shuttle maintains a constant speed as it passes by below us it shouldn't attract too much attention.

Also, what about my thrusters? Could I use them to help?

Edit: If we don't receive an escort, then keep doing what I was doing. Which is watch out, notify others of threats and defend the shuttle.

go it alone for now
to be clear: the above was my vote. our pilot appears to disagree.
Action: Still watching cams and ready to defend if needed.

Getting there. Keep going, big buddy. Where are the other shuttles, anyway...

Alright... Flint, if we brought over another shuttle, do you think you could safely transfer to it? I'm thinking we ask a shuttle to come escort us and possibly allow one of you to transfer, while having a few pairs begin ascending at the same speed as us in different directions.

Where are comms to the other... ah!

[Escape Plan v2.1]
Check where the other shuttles are right now (similar height? lower? clustered? total #? Done with bombs?)

Figure out how long we have until we hit space and until orbit.

Keep flying, keep watching, keep reporting.

Gyromitra, this is Snapdragon transport. We are beginning our ascent to orbit. Unless you need more, we are taking roughly half the shuttles to cover our ascent.
Good luck.

"Snapdragon transport, this is Gyromitra actual. What extra shuttles are you talking about? I asked Steve for extra shuttles and he couldn't spare any! We could use something to cover our asses from the active AA that's shooting us!

((Note that I am not stating that agree or disagree with this plan, I'm just answering the question being asked.))

They may have been dumping their payload when you requested them. They should be available now, contact Steve.

A distraction. 'Some' nukes to make up for the lack of orbital fire.

"I know about the extra shuttles send in to nuke them, but there were a set of shuttles waiting in orbit for us originally, with no nukes. Why would... Ah, forget it, we'll sort it out later. Thanks for the warning anyways. Miyamoto out."

"So, just so that I'm ready in case we actually go through with this, what exactly are you going to do and what exactly do you want me to do? I mean, I did my own stunts, but I did rehearse them a couple of times first. Or at least I started doing so after that time I smashed my head on a truck. Which was totally not my fault, by the way, it was really hard to see through that lobster costume."

((Actually, the shuttles that were supposed to pick us up were always the shuttles that had the nukes in them. That's the problem with the fact that Mission 19 was happening in our past. And time travel/retcons in general.

We have always been at war with Eastasia. Biff was always rich from the bets he won using that sports Almanac.))

Quote from: Lyra to Snapdragon & Snapdragon Extraction
Planet brain damaged here. Planet not know. No Attention. Leave Shuttles.
((The brain for our area went into "offline mode" as the worm, choosing to disconnect itself from it's controlled area as a temporary defense measure.
It was then nuked.
the planet stopped attacking us entirely as soon as that occured.
the planet has not noticed us.
the planet WILL NOT notice us unless you do something to draw its attention to us.
for example: bringing extra shuttles to us.
you are attempting to perform a dangerous maneuver that will draw attention to the hole in the planet's awareness and attract AA fire with no significant gains to be made from it.

this is stupid.

we will draw no aa fire or very little aa fire if we don't bring extra shuttles over here. even if we are fired upon, we have defenses and defenders standing by watching for it.
what you are doing is a pointless risk that increases the odds we are going to die.))
