Roll to wait.

You jitter about, unable to sit still.

"One engine was fixed and one is unsalvageable.  Two more to go.  And... don't worry.  The comb would not let it all end like this.  We can do this."

How easy would it be to remove the unusable engine and toss it overboard after repairs are complete?  Also... do we have any reason to worry about fuel levels?

Continue repairing the engines with Duncan, scavenging parts as needed, with Steve guiding the effort.  If the shuttle is quite rapidly losing altitude, let Duncan tackle one while Tek tackles the other.  Otherwise, work together to avoid errors.

Scavenge parts as needed first from the unusable engine, secondly from any weapons on hand or offered by others, and thirdly from parts that Tek creates by using the MFM on the hunk of metal back in the passenger compartment.

Keep fixing the engines. Sweat profusely. Wonder how I ended up here.
You move on to the next engine and try to get it shut off. You manage to get it turned off, but the gyro system in the ship itself keeps jerking it around, trying to redirect non existent thrust. You need the pilot to either fly very carefully or for someone inside the ship to open a panel and deactivate the gyro system for that engine.

Did dropping the suit make us light enough we could make do with two engine instead of three?

Also, check brainpoints, and send to medics on the ship.

((If any of our medics were bored, I guess you could do this? It'll help, at least.))

You need just one more engine.

Have a casual conversation with Steve, gain an indeterminate amount of IC knowledge.
You have an indeterminate conversation. I can't determine what you said.

((Bored is good. Ryan is well aware of this. And it's not really "bored" it's "strapped in and patiently waiting to explode or live" :P))

Sit tight. Analyze brain stuff that comes by my screen. Otherwise, if I can from my suit, look at medical procedures involving synthflesh. I got lucky in the field and without tools. I don't like getting lucky, I want to get it right.
Both brains are, from what you can tell, in the red zone. Any more and they're gonna start taking permanent damage.

"We need someone to deactivate the gyro system for the third portside engine before we can continue repairs.  Someone should be able to turn it off through a panel in the passenger compartment.

Alternatively our pilot could steer the shuttle in just the right way to avoid triggering the gyro system for that engine.  That would also allow us to continue."

"I could do that. Maybe. Badly. Eh."

If everyone inside has negative Aux skill, go fix the thing for the guy.
EDIT: Make Jobasio do it.

"...Zzhuh? Wuzzat?"
Jobasio snaps out of some sort of rifle-stroking trance, peering groggily about himself. So much for keeping watch for projectiles...
"Hmm? You say I can actually make myself useful amidst this debacle?"
Judging by his expression he is rather shocked by the idea, though he smiles after a moment and springs to his feet.
"Certainly! I'm sure this clunky old bucket of scrap can hardly be too complex, now, can it?"

Get up, sling my rifle across my back, and go Do The Thing.
...Open up the relevant panel and (following Xael/Miyamoto's directions) disable the troublesome engine's gyro system, specifically.

Patch into the camera of the person deactivating the gyro and help out (provided it uses aux) by talking them through it.

Once the gyro system is deactivated for that engine, shut it off and repair it.

"So... which was more terrifying, the Eater mission or this one, for those that were on both?  Tek would have to go with this mission, by a lot.  Though... there was a greater sense of looming doom in that one..."

I-I'll try.

Attempt to fly in a way that avoids triggering the gyro.

You grab jobasio by the head and sort of shove him face first into the panel.

You wander over to the panel, nonchalantly flip it open and stare at the internals for a few seconds before disconnecting a few things.

"Ok done."

You smash your head against the wall and scream swear words.

Once the gyro system is deactivated for that engine, shut it off and repair it.

Your attempts to fix the engine fail. Not badly, they simply don't succeed this time.

Err... Did Tek notice that the gyro system was correctly disabled?  Anyway, try again to repair it.
