Quote from: The Imperial Horseman III
The Emerad Fawn stoods staring across the field at The Wyvern and Initiate.

"You won't be able to stop this. Surrender now and accept your death." The initiate taunted.

"I fear no dragon. The power of a Paladin is stronger!" Scale shouted before she and her companions rushed the dragon. In response the creature released a poisonous gasp at each of them in turn. Each was knocked to the floor by the sheer strength of the attack.

For several minutes each of the squires attempted to hack the dragon to bits.

With a mighty roar the Wyvern grabbed Scar in its mouth.

"You'll not have me!" he shouted as he drove the blade into the beast's eye.

Unfortunately this only made the dragon angry as it released the entirity of its blast upon him while he was still in its mouth. The young man was then dropped to the ground presumed uncouncious or worse.

It was at this point that Scale and Dudley, both on their last legs, went into overdrive. Scale, as is her style, managed to duck and weave the blasts from both the Dragon and the Initiate for several seconds until the beast was slain by Dudley after he used her distraction to climb the beast's back and plunge his sword into its neck.

As the beast fell Scar took the opportunity to rush at the Initiate.

"Stay back!" shouted the coward as he prepared his spell.

"Never!"

Unfortunately Scar was simply a few seconds too slow. The green light hit him and his allies. But at this point the Initiate could do no right. He was swiftly beaten unconcious by the remaining two in one of the most impressive displays of pure brutality this reporter has ever seen.

Both Scale and Dudley advance to Knight. Revive Scar. Assuming he comes back at 0 or 1 HP, spend 16 gold to heal him for 80+5.

Advance Turn.

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

RIP Hobbin....

"Well. He went on and died on me. I guess I could revive him... But why should I? Might as well get a new guy."

Melonious browses the recruits, and sees the Wyvern in their ranks.

"Woah... It would be cool to get one of those.... Whats your name... Dragon-thing?"

"Bruce..." Grunts the Wyvern, looking as if he could care less what anyone thinks.

"Excellent! I'll take him!"

Buy a Wyvern. Heal Fezzik fully with 10 gold.
Advance Turn.

Quote from: Platinum
Revive Scar: -50gp
Heal Scar 85hp: -16gp

Dudley the Squire >> Dudley the Knight
Scale the Squire >> Scale the Knight

Scar, surprisingly, seems uncharacteristically happy about this week’s match as he wakes up in the infirmary. He also, apparently, knows something about next week’s match but refuses to tell you as he ‘wasn’t supposed to know’.

Hire: Bruce the Wyvern [-100gp]

Bruce:
[9] [3] [7]
Scary: +10% chance to paralyze
Strong: +10% Damage
Blind: -5% Accuracy

@Playergamer: I could have sworn I sent a PM to the previous games players but searching back through my inbox it would appear that's not the case. Yes, there is a waitlist.

You must choose to dismiss a gladiator from your school. Otherwise they’ll just sit there gathering dust in the infirmary and eating up upkeep.

I think I'm going to add a few more personalities. Any suggestions?

One problem the original game had, that this one is avoiding, is having the die rolls create a useless gladiator.

Essentially, in the first game, it was entirely possible to get a gladiator with two negative traits.

I like a 2 positive, 1 negative thing. It lets your gladiator be awesome but flawed...

That said this might be helpful:

Dismiss Hobin Rood

The cleric informs you, sorrowfully, that Hobin Rood would not be able to participate in any more games. Unfortunately the injuries were too severe for him to keep his left arm. Thus, you were forced to let him go.

Week 3 Begins
Last week’s matches were, for better or worse, quite interesting and informative. You feel like you understand the draw of managing games. Free seats and piles of gold. Why everyone doesn’t do this you don’t know. Still, you decide to look through your mail for fight offers.

Spoiler: Biggus Dickus (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Melonius (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Platinum (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Grrrrr (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Vilka (click to show/hide)

Well that’s an interesting suggestion. Still, might as well walk the markets to see what you can get.
Spoiler: Merchant (click to show/hide)

Well that certainly is more interesting than potions though… A little pricey at this point. No need to purchase now. You decide to make a choice tomorrow night.
