Woop, double post.

Well, in this circumstance I think a concentration roll really would be needed. You are trying to impose magical control on other beings against their will. Of course, since the activation should be a free action, -you'd have to be careful releasing them, is all.

Very careful. :3

Can I get an athletics check for making Tadhg do a headstand-chugging?

Persuasion Test (Average/Target 10+)
[11+4=15]
Pass!

In a display of Barbarian prowess Tadhg manages to drain en entire mug of beer, while balancing himself upside down, holding himself up on a single arm. The crowd is quite pleased with him!

"Tatdog for mayor!"
"I thought his name was Tadhog?"
"His name is Tagalong, I'm sure."
"We're all quite drunk!"

Well, anyway. :P

You guys need to start discussing where you want to go first.

I'll sum up the rumors~

1. He sometimes visits the Sapporwhill trees to collect things the villagers give him. Samara has the description and the basic directions of a few of them.
2. He's rumored to be hiding in the Coldfells north of town, a nasty area filled with brambles and snakes.
3. He could possibly be at, or around the ancient ruins.
4. He likes to go around the local farms when he's hungry.
5. He apparently doesn't exist.
6. The land is also plagued with shadowmans, trolls, walking trees, and giant grain eating rats lurking in barns.
7. There are also jobs that will lead you to a Rocs Nest and the trademarked local bandit camp for side-jobs.

Hey, Gigladesk, can you fill in your saves and skills and stuff on your sheet?

I want it all, at the touch of a button!

By the way, I don't know how magic items normally work in 5E, do I need to like, hold the ball in hand, or can I wear it on a necklace or something and activate it mentally once I've become attuned? (Or, maybe, is that a question I need to become attuned to figure out?)

Aaaaaand done. It's very unedited, though, so it's probably a hit of a mess. In too tired to go through it now, though, so tell me if anything is unclear.

It would be mentally activated-hence the attuning. Attuned magic items usually respond to your thoughts only, if they have anything active to command.

Shouldn't we deal with the wizard before we do side quests?

Haven't you ever played a RPG before? Always do the sidequests first! Also what I said in character.
