Akira backs up and bows slightly to the young man.
"My apologies... sir. I was... looking for... someone who might... be able to tell me more about the... mad wizard problem your town... has."
Akira says slipping into her current persona. One of the few times she could really feel comfortable is when she wasn't being herself.
"But I'm sure... some as... important and powerful as... yourself doesn't need to... bother with... silly women like me."

He seems placated by your obvious obsequiousness.

"Mad Wizard? Didn't we hire some idiots to do something about that? Why are you bothering me about it?" He remarks obliviously. "...And, before you scurry off-who are you anyway? I don't believe I've seen your face around here."

"I am just a... traveler. Not many have seen my face I reckon... around here I mean, I just... got into town the other day. Apologies for... having to cut and run... but I have some business to attend to... Sir."
Akira bows again and starts to turn to walk away before she can make some mistake.

"I better not catch you wandering in my way again!" he shouts at your retreating back. You're not sure exactly how to comply with his order...

Escape!

Samara grins slyly, running her fingers along the wand, "Yes, this will do nicely for me. You're quite welcome, good man. And you, Sarco?"

Sarco looked over the other magical items, thinking about the one that would be most suited to himself. His eyes lingers on the boots for a while, before shaking his head and turning to orb and key. "Humm... Tough choice. Tell me then, how much would you charge for this key if I purchased it separately from our deal? It seems like it could perhaps be important for our mission if it is connected to the doings of that wizard."

"I'm not sure how to price something like that..." the man says indecisively. "200 gold, I guess. And that's about twice what I'm paying to have it identified. Fair enough, and who knows what sort of things it could lead to, right?' He says, smiling slightly.

"A fair price indeed... I shall consider it, if it has not been purchased by someone else by the time that I earned such money I shall be back perhaps. In the meanwhile, I shall take the orb. It seems like it could be of use..." Sarco said as he handed over the 90 gold for the pearl. Picking up the orb he considered it's malevolent spirits carefully before putting it into his pack.

Samara passes over her own pile of coins, leaving the store with a half-wave.

As soon as Sarco touches the Wisp Orb he knows instinctively, that this item must be magically attuned to himself before he can use it-he'll have to spend a small amount of time (about ten minutes) concentrating on it, figuring how best to use its powers and gain a deeper understanding of it's true nature. Afterwards, as an added benefit, he'll be the only one who can use it-the Orb will not respond to anyone, but him. Given the powers he may unleash, this is surely an advantage.

He recalls Samara saying that many unique magical items are similar, in this way.

Samara herself notes her wand requires no attunement, however, it being a more common magical device.

Samara waits for Sarco to leave the Sphinx before speaking, "Hm. That was helpful, and I acquired a small bit of useful information from the hedge-witch healer. Perhaps  we should find the others and see what they have learned?"

"A good idea." Sarco nodded. "Lets find them, should we meet up in the tavern?"

Sarco and Samara eventually find their way to the Painted Flower, where Tadhg is the center of a large crowd of villagers, becoming progressively inebriated by the free Hero beer. It seems some of them are suggesting he should 'chug', often chanting it repeatedly, and he seems to be satisfying that request.

Can I get an athletics check for making Tadhg do a headstand-chugging?

Athletics Test (Average/Target 10+)
[11+4=15]
Pass!

In a display of Barbarian prowess Tadhg manages to drain en entire mug of beer, while balancing himself upside down, holding himself up on a single arm. The crowd is quite pleased with him!

"Tatdog for mayor!"
"I thought his name was Tadhog?"
"His name is Tagalong, I'm sure."
"We're all quite drunk!"
