Oh no.

Prepare to defend myself.

Keep perfectly still, looking at the still figure. Keep eye contact.

Gather up the money necessary and walk to the cabin.

Oh no.

Prepare to defend myself.

Keep perfectly still, looking at the still figure. Keep eye contact.

(4)He doesn't seem to see you. Or really much of anything. He occasionally twitches a bit, and his eyes seem to dart about, almost looking at this, almost looking at that, but always focused somewhere on the wall opposite the beds. Meanwhile, you carefully feel about for something with which to defend yourself against this creep. All you find is the bedding on your bed.

Pocket the coin and find somewhere to lay low.
(2)You put the nickle in a pocket, but it falls through. You pick it up and put it in another pocket, and look at the hole in the first pocket. ow long has that been there? You come out of the alley thinking to quietly slip away and find a bridge to sleep under or something, but the people out on the streets eye you warily. You see more than one person take out their phones while looking in your direction.

Take a deep breath and resume my awareness of my surroundings.
(3) The tick of the clock, the beeping of the machinery, and the table along the wall you are staring at come back into your awareness. You are nervous about looking at the clock. You think the last time you looked The arms were both pointed between the seven and the eight.

Go get my gun and fire at the intruder
(1 vs 5) you back up, but stumble over the other guy and fall backward. The other intruder takes the opportunity to lunge forward, coming down on top of you, wild, red eyes boring into yours as he plunges his knife deep into your chest. You can't even scream.

Gather up the money necessary and walk to the cabin.
(2) you open your wallet and curse. You just don't have it. Of course, you keep a stash out in a secure place out of town. No banks for you, that'd be like handing Them the money. Of course, they may know about the little parcel of land you own, too. You'll have to be careful.

Red eyes... There not real. This means my wounds aren't real. Dammit, I wasted a perfectly good pizza!

Fly into a rage. They ruined my pizza!

Keep still. Any behaviour changes over a turn's worth time period, or does he just keep doing that?

I shall steal a bike and ride to my parcel of land, dig up the money and conduct the deal.

Red eyes... There not real. This means my wounds aren't real. Dammit, I wasted a perfectly good pizza!

Fly into a rage. They ruined my pizza!
(1)You try to get angry. The knife in your chest, the blood dripping down your arm, and the red eyes boring into yours, seem to sap your will to fight. Soon, all you know is the piercing pain, and the darkness around those red eyes. The blackness in their center seems to hold something, though. Something you instinctively revolt against.

Tell myself that you're imagining things.
(6)As you convince yourself that it's all imaginary, you seem to unlock additional hallucinations: cars veering too close to the sidewalk, dark figures lurking in the woods, strangely elongated teenagers carrying bags of drugs, the sky turning an ominous green. You are almost sure these are imaginary, but they hold a strange power over your mind.

Look at my room mate.

E:Try to figure out why my room/cell mate keeps staring at me.
(4) At last, your roommate encroaches once again upon your consciousness, and yo uturn your head to see him staring at you. "What are you looking at?" You ask.

Keep still. Any behaviour changes over a turn's worth time period, or does he just keep doing that?
(6)He turns his head and looks right at you. "What are you looking at?" He asks menacingly. You even understand the words, and the meaning behind them.

Panic! Run towards safety! Wherever that is.
(4) You let out a panicked squeak and dart suddenly away, back down the alley and out hte other end. you keep going for a couple blocks before you find that no one is looking at you anymore. mostly because everyone is looking at someone else, over by the park.

I shall steal a bike and ride to my parcel of land, dig up the money and conduct the deal.
(4) You snag a bike from a neighbor a block away and ride off, past a park where some woman seems to be having a nervous breakdown (not my problem you think) and head out of town. and hour later, you arrive, winded and sweaty. your stash is right where you left it, and it is enough for the gun. there's enough for a junker vehicle besides, with just enough left over for gas for a week.
