You are a gladiator
You will die in this arena.
You will fight for the entertainment of all.
This is your life.
Names mean nothing, except when they are given to you. You will receive a name if you survive three fights.
Rules
This will be a d20 combat system, your roll vs enemy gladiator roll.
Minuses and bonuses given for different things like being caught in a net or having the crowd cheering you on.
If you die, then we make a new gladiator and run it back through.
Gladiator sheet
Age- this will defiantly effect something's depending on where you go with this
Gender- males will get a strength bonus and females will get agility bonus (sorry for sterilitype but had to make some sort of distinction)
Main weapon- if you choose two you can't carry a secondary or shield. Weapons will be different types of swords, spears, maces, any melee weapon. Two handed weapons will also take up the secondary slot.
Secondary- shield, buckler, dagger, net, throwing spear. Depending on what the shield is made of you might get slowed down (ex: metal shields will slow you down compared to a wooden shield but metal shields will protect more)
Armor- lighter armor will allow for more speed but less protection, heavier armor will slow you down but give better protection, specify type of armor and what it's made of.
Bonus- (choose one)
Crowed favored- the crowds love you and cheer for you no matter what (bonus to willpower/endurance. A rush of adrenaline when your title is yelled amongst the crowds)
Superior strength- you are brutally powerful
Superior agility- you are much faster than any other gladiator.
Imperial connections- your master knows some people on the inside and you can get some special gifts mid battle such as a surprise tiger or starting on horseback, you will be told your gift before a round usualy and can switch hear to suite it.
Speaking of which, you get the chance to change gear between fights if you win.
Let's begin.
