"As long as can wear a cravat and attend a state dinner function, you're fine by me."

Sweetpea giggled again and flicked a pea, bouncing it off Arwen's head.
"Yup, good and solid."
at his question, she smiled and replied confidently.
"It's a type of seafood. Like a crab."

"Indeed, I have heard of the Lord's Alliance.  They are opposed to evil, yes, but they serve their own cause as well, that of the maintenance of their own power."  Mirella started fussing with her amulet in one hand, considering it as well as the matter at hand.  "I have not heard much ill about them, however: no more evil than any other ruler, and a good deal less so than many."  She looked at Johanna, then Sweetpea, and finally Arwen.  "I would not wish to give my oath of servitude to distant lords so cavalierly, but perhaps I may travel in a different direction for a time, and see more of the Sword Coast."

She smiles slightly at Arwen's question.  "It's a kind of bandage, shaped like a triangle."  Her answer came out at the same time as Sweetpea's, apparently to both of their confusion.

Arwen tilts his head, a little confused. "It's a bandage made out of crabs? Sounds awesome. Why would I have a problem with wearing one?"

Johanna waved her hands at this group of fashion disasters.

"No, no, and no! It's a sort of poofy...necktie...thing. You wear it on an open throated shirt, usually with frilly sleeves. It's also called an ascot, in some places. It's ab-so-lutely the height of this years fashion. You'll need to know these things to blend into high society!

As for us women, thankfully, hoop skirts are out-backless dresses are in."
She announced authoritatively.

Arwen pictures it mentally, then fans the air near his head, as if breaking up a thought bubble. "No thanks. I'll stick to my armor."

"Looks like I won't be able to take you anywhere." Johanna replies in good humor.

"So long as I get paid, I'm fine with being left here. I'm sure I can find SOMETHING to do." He grins, taking a sip of water.

"I suppose you'll need a bit of seasoning before I present you to society...anyway, I'm glad to hear we are all in agreement.

Shall we discuss it more so, or perhaps skip straight to the toast?"

"I- I can't wear a backless dress." Sweetpea said with some alarm. The great scar was a mess of dull white and crimson scar tissue, front and back.
Still, it'd be nice to wear a pretty dress.
"I'm in though."

I think the party just WANTS to party.

And Arwen wants to beat up a Dragon.
