[Goblins]

This ain't the average stupid I'm used to;

One of my dwarf's 2x2 bedrooms is filled with dead opossums and dead keas.  I'm pretty sure he dragged them all down there.  His profession is hunter.  They have not rotted or anything at all.  No miasma.  What is up with this?  A bug?  A sign of a vampire?  If it's a vampire then I'll chain 'er up and put 'em on record keeping duty!

He just love thropies! But corpses should go to corpse/refuse stockpile, do you have one?

I don't believe that's a Vampire, because he wouldn't be feeding on dead animals. It may be that you don't have refuse stockpiles.

Well to be fair, in my experience at least, the animal corpses should be getting auto butchered and the inedibles should be going to the refuse pile but that could be a LNP thing.

Oppossums and Keas are too small to be butchered, IIRC.

I didn't see the same problem like the OP did, but my dorfs NEVER butchered corpses unless they were stored in a refuse stockpile. (yeah, maybe dfhack has a fix on that.)

To solver the problem, you can design a refuse stockpile over the corpse. Someone with butchery labor enabled should come to get the corpse. Don't forget to remove the stockpile after that otherwise someone will begin to use it.

Butchers can only butcher corpses that are within a certain distance of the butcher shop or inside a stockpile. If you have a butcher shop, the hunters will drop off their kills there, but they'll be hauled back out if you have free haulers and no free butchers.

Vampires do not collect vermin.

Does he have a pet cat? Pet cats will bring him dead vermin, and presumably if he's asleep, he won't pick it up.

Opossums and keas aren't vermin. At least I'm sure keas aren't.

That is very, very odd. I've never seen that.

Yes to butcher's workshop.

Yes to refuse/corpse stockpile.  I don't believe he has got a cat either... 99% sure.

It looks like a bug but maybe it is intended ? i have never see hunters collect trophies.
