You eat off one of the charred vermin, its soft but a bit cold, its clearly not been cooked recently.
Its leather covering makes it hard to get at some of the meat, you have to shake it quite a bit to get it off sending bits of the vermin all over.

Oh so lovely the shiny thing with its little hum.
My little pretty with its dancing surface.
Its round a lovely and warm like the sun.
Just looking at it makes you feel happy, but if only it wasn't so small.

You pick up the precious shiny thing, its so nice to feel it, you cant help but love it.
You fly out of the tower holding your treasure, but you've not got much flight left so its a short trip.
You come crashing into the branches of a nearby tree.

You climb out of the tree, and look for a place to stay.
After a while of searching you find a barrow dug by some other creature, its dry inside and not too much of a trouble to get in.
There is nobody home, so you lay down on the nested floor and wait for the waning day to turn to night.

You feel the little tugs of flight on your wings the strongest probably coming from where you found the white tree not very far away.
There are several dozen distinct tugs you can feel, but most of them are not constant.

You crawl out of the barrow, and move out to the tree following the flight of your wings.
You slink in the leaves and bushes for quite a long time, making up distance with daylight.
Its getting dark and the night animals are rousing to play in the light of the moon by the time you make it near the tree...
You see a light of fire burning from where you feel the flight your approaching.
