You can (or at least I have) see the single-line approach in other places, though. For example, banks, the DMV/RMV, etc, anywhere where there's space to put a single line without obstructing anyone's path anywhere, where you don't take up much space (no carts), you can see all the tellers from the front of the line, etc.

Replacing 20-30 grocery store lines with one line feeding 20-30 checkout stations seems impractical, particularly given the extra space that would be needed.

It keeps the line moving though, which probably makes queuing a little bit less of an annoyance.

At least you won't make a poor choice and get stuck behind someone who ends up having some problem that holds up the line forever.  Which effectively shuffles you the back of the line of somewhere else.

PEC gives an overview of Automatic Voter Registration. Apparently it's recently been put into place in a couple of states. Should be interesting to see how that shakes out over the next decade or so.

... though, to be fair, suboptimal grocery lanes effect a lot more people significantly more often. Honestly, if you consider things on the net they've probably killed more people than exploding hospitals, just due to stress/timing problems (this kills kids in florida, ferex)/etc. Plus I doubt many of us have much in the way of personal interaction with exploding hospitals, whereas most of us have exposure to grocery lanes.

On FOX news.  Which even moderates can tell has an overwhelming conservative bias.  They're basically an arm of the Republican party, which means they'd try to destroy Hillary.  They'd rather see Bernie in office, or more likely defeated by Trump.

If you're going to pull receipts from 2008, maybe you should go back through Fox News's 20+ year smear campaign against Hillary Clinton, perhaps all the way back to when an associate of theirs called her daughter a dog in 1992. Maybe I'm off base though.
