California also has this little issue.

Check out the picture of the party registration question halfway through the article. (Also at the top but that one is animated and zooms in, so you can't easily read the scare text on the right under "No, I don't want to register with a political party")

Yeah, I read that in another article, about 500 thousand people got confused by that.

I registered years ago, so I'm good.

Seeing claims of voter suppression in NY.  Supposedly tens of thousands of people whose registrations have been mysteriously fucked with.  Mostly altering their party affiliations, which are required to vote in the primary in that state.  Even a claim from one person that the form they allegedly signed to drop their party affiliation has a signature that looks directly copy/pasted from their driver's license.

Theres other things like broken voting machines at places: http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2016/apr/19/new-york-primary-polls-sanders-trump-clinton-cruz-kasich-live?page=with:block-57167bfde4b0585020da6f2d#block-57167bfde4b0585020da6f2d

And mayor DeBlasio has commented about numerous errors and other stuff: http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2016/apr/19/new-york-primary-polls-sanders-trump-clinton-cruz-kasich-live?page=with:block-57169f08e4b0585020da6f75#block-57169f08e4b0585020da6f75

Sounds like worse sheneinighans than with Arizona which seem merely shortsighted in comparison.

If peeps can't find consensus on the nature of the vote troubles here, can we still agree that the whole primary delegate/superdelegate system is generally as stupid, inefficient, unnecessary, and complicated as the electoral college?

Well what do you want out of a system?  There are a bunch of different ways you might judge it.

Making sense would be nice, but that'd be asking a lot from politics

I'm pretty sure that you are legally required to turn voter registration forms over if you take them.  That's why if you think someone isn't going to vote for your preferred candidate you give the form back and say "remember to mail that in!"

It sounds a bit like they got scammed or something though, no idea.

Polls closing soon though.

It's usually kinda hard to justify arresting schoolchildren

Obnoxious little buggers, sure, but handcuffing and arresting them is unnecessary.

That said I don't know how violent the fight was, considering they're 6-10 year olds I can't imagine it was terribly dangerous.

You should, as it's both fairly short and full of wtfery.

Also... well, OW, this is The US. Looks like the under twelve category's averaged something like four or five hundred (very rough, very half-assed skimming generated eyeballing of FBI numbers from '93-'01) a year for the last while. Which, being fair, is pretty small when you consider the country's population, but when you're dealing with 300+ million, "kinda' hard" still ends up being a fair number of people.

Though yeah, danger can vary. I've seen a six year old try to go at someone with a butcher knife before. I mean, sure, it was pretty easy to just shut a door on the kid, but... still.
