Give me one piece of proper evidence that gun laws DO stop mass shootings.

Australia enacted them and had a statistically significant drop in attacks.

Australia doesn't have a laxly-patrolled border with a major country with nearly no gun control.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

This being after your edit - the original post claimed that they have not had a single mass shooting since.
I guess you know I was going to point out the University shooting in 2002 that killed 7, and the recent (last year!) Hunt family shooting that left five dead.  And those aren't the only ones.

time for the monthly school shooting! ya! and its in... Canada?  ???

Inb4 the gun nuts latch onto that as proof that gun laws don't stop mass shootings. Then again, it's Canada, who cares*.

*To Canadian forumites: That wasn't said in a serious way.

Give me one piece of proper evidence that gun laws DO stop mass shootings.

The fact that other countries have far fewer mass shootings that we do?

Corrected for population this is not true.  Also note that the United States has far less violent crime overall than almost every other country in the world.
Almost.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

And how do you define mass shooting? More than five dead?

And how do you define mass shooting? More than five dead?

According to the FBI it's three or more dead.  According to the statistics pushed around by most ideological anti-gun people (i.e. 350 mass shootings in the US per year), it's anything more than one dead, and that includes gang-related intra-community violence, which is the OVERWHELMING majority of those statistics.

Doing this is a well-known logical fallacy - fallacy by association.
I don't think it technically is?  It's association in terms of sharing traits, not "being supported by" or "willing to talk to".  So the examples are stuff like "Dog-owning vegetarians want to commit suicide because Hitler did".

That's different from judging someone based on their supporters, or based on who they choose to give publicity to.

"Dave must be wrong / evil because Bob thinks he's right."

This is not fallacy by association?  Riiiiiight.

that ain't the logic, though, the logic is that "Dave must be wrong/evil because he pays attention to what Bob is saying, and Bob is wrong/evil"

like, it's still not necessarily sound, but it's a lot closer than yer strawman

Dave didn't make any argument that we're throwing out.  He handed Bob free publicity, and it turns out Bob's kinda bad.  That suggests that Dave is bad, though it isn't proof.

It's also completely different from "Dave believes in X, Bob is bad and believes in X, therefore Dave is bad."  *That* would be fallacy of association.

Or replace "is bad" with "believes in y".

Muslims support Obama -> Supporting Obama supports Islam
Obama invites Muslims to the seat of power -> Obama is literally Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia supports Obama -> Obama indistinguishable from Riyadh
