Not sure where this topic came from, but I'm one degree from Obama.  Touched his hand during his first presidential campaign, in Raleigh.  He was giving an indoors speech and we had tickets but apparently they got the capacity wrong, so a crowd of us had to wait outside.  After like an hour, he came by and thanked us all for coming and walked along the barrier.

It's kinda weird having actually seen the leader of the free world.  What sort of Paranoia dystopia is this?  I should be lucky to *see* a *green*.

And after reading this, I realized why it's so important leaders spend as much time as they do cozying up with the public, literally.

Next single unmarried president should have cuddle auctions. To show they're of the people.

Not recently, no, but I think there was actually one or two, back in the 19th century.

Also, Jeb Bush got the endorsement of Lindsey Graham, not that it'll help him much anyway.

Do you really, though, sheb? That would entail spending hours, more or less daily, listening to republican politicians speak. It's hard to do that with any kind of politician without wanting to kill something, possibly yourself, nevermind the stateside faction that's currently gone more or less insane.
