Interesting illustration of the generational gap.

Seems more like the expectations gap to me.  Clinton has received abnormal amounts of negative coverage for two months.  So when she comes out and everything is pretty unexceptional, she is doing better then people inside the media echo chamber expected.

Edit: damn it mainiac.

But yeah, my impression is that the punditry is going nuts for Clinton because her performance was a significant break from the constant wave of unpleasant news over the summer (Emails! Poll Numbers! Joe! Sanders! Republicans!). She just broke a feedback loop, and the media parses that out as a good job done.

Webb was being a bit stuck on the whole China issue anyway.

I thought Chaffee had pinned himself to the wall (or something) with his response to the Patriot act vote. So it was his first time voting and his dad had died recently, Anderson had it nailed down with his follow up of 'but did you know what you were voting for?', to which he really didn't have a good reply.

He did have to unwillingly fall on that sword of the A rating from NRA (or was that Webb who had that?), not sure how gracefully or how well he achieved the metaphor though.

Considering that the small fraction of democratic primary voters who are NRA members is an order of magnitude larger then the small fraction that are Chaffee or Webb voters, an NRA endorsement is something they should want, not be afraid of.

"Poised, passionate and in command."

"Clinton triumphs in Democratic debate as rivals compete to lose."

Well clearly CNN has already decided who they think should be president. That's not a measured evaluation of the debates, that's praise bukkake.

So after two months of CNN participating in the anti-Clinton witch hunt, you think CNN is in the tank for her because of one lopsided headline.  ::)

The media follows the story, whether it's substantive story or not. That's just reality. And yes, I do think CNN has been in the tank for Hilary since this all started. They want a female democrat for president. CNN like Fox has no problem publicly promoting the viewpoint they'd like to see win out.

CNN is one of her donators, of course they're in for her.

And you're entitled to get defensive about your horse in the race. Not that I actually give a shit who you like or don't like.

But it seems like your litmus test for whether or not a news organization is in the tank for someone is that they DONT do stories about controversy and scandal, what's hot and what people are talking about. Which would put you on some planet that isn't Earth.

Do tell though. How do you square CNN's obvious bad intentions toward the Clinton campaign with their post debate coverage. According to your view, shouldn't the headline "Clinton ignores BENGHAZI at debate"?

I'm just surprised at you maniac. You aren't usually this naive when it comes to what the media says and does. Maybe lay off the H-Dawg brand Koolaid for a few days to detox.

What obviously bad intentions?  You are the one who accused them of "been in the tank for Hillary".  Dont assume that I'm a kneejerk partisan just because I disagree with you.

You just brought up Benghazi coverage like it refutes that supposition. I'm telling you it doesn't, the media reports on what gets page clicks.

Also, you're acting like a bit of knee jerk partisan when it comes to her. My contention is not with Hilary Clinton. It's with CNN getting carried away with their headline coverage and tipping their hand on their political wishes.
