Someone'll be streaming it, probably? Googling "debate stream" sans-quotes popped up like... several possible options, though google being google someone outside the US might have to be more specific. One news station or another should be running it, if nothing else.

I know y'all have already read this smbc, but I'll bring it up again as a totally serious talking point: What if the Troomph is merely the first droplet in a cataclysmic flood of politically frivolous celebrity candidates spreading across party lines into the liberal corner? What if it becomes standard procedure to run exclusively for pre-election profits and publicity, and to dodge that nasty bullet of actually getting elected? Presidency is a gigantic bowl of shit, after all, and the amount of money you can make during your term is totally negligible compared to the billions upon billions that you can suck out of super PACs and launder through your campaign machine – in a totes legal fashion! And that's not even counting the book sales! Numerous ghost-written political autobiographies and anonymously published exposés of your own illegal exploits, all profits going directly into your pocket. It's worth so much more than being the sole ruler of a crumbling World government for a measly four years!

I'm not so sure. If Donald Trump does well enough, this sort of bullshit might get seen by the leadership as a "bold new strategy". They don't really care who wins, provided they can be persuaded to implement their preferred policies and blame shit on the other guys. Likewise, the primary voters don't care much either, as long as their team wins. The only hope I see is that we get so inured to it that it stops being interesting enough for the media to keep hyping the challenger; Donald Trump's major advantage is that we keep talking about him, so he may well find himself gradually slotting into Romney's "Anybody but him" position from last race. It's the media reacting accordingly that we need to happen. Unless Donald Trump's campaign collapses before the primaries, of course.
