So, on the heels of defending Josh Duggar (who has admitting molesting four underage girls when he was a teenager, including his own sisters), Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee seems to be doubling down on the Poor Choices Express, remarking at an event today that he wished he could have identified as female when he was in high school:

"Now I wish that someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE," Huckabee said.

"I'm pretty sure that I would have found my feminine side and said, 'Coach, I think I'd rather shower with the girls today.'

Now, I'm sure Huckabee was just trying to ingratiate himself with his base with a joke at the expense of transpeople, but seriously....you have to wonder how hard his staff winced in the 5 microseconds it took them to realize the way that could be taken, especially in light of the criticism he's gotten (from conservatives) over his comments in defense of Josh Duggar.

And as far as TSA -- have you SEEN a TSA screening line? These are folks who weren't competent enough to work at the DMV. And in many cases, they're outsourced through a firm like Securitas. You basically have mall cops checking your luggage.

Naturally the solution will be to spend more money and make more limits on what you're supposed to be able to carry.

I'm actually kinda surprised by that.  The last time I was flying, I accidentally left a multitool in my carry-on, and they practically escorted me out of the building.  It's like they only know how to find stupid shit.
