Republican Candidates:
Ted Cruise: A loud moron.

Democratic Candidates:
Queen Hillary Clinton.

Are these really the only choices?

No, of course not, the GOP has many other loud morons.

Was that typo of Ted Cruz's name intentional (not that I have a problem with it)?

As the embark message says under dead units if theres nothing in it, 'The year is still young'. Point is that it's still really early. Ted Cruz announcing his candidacy to get an early start will probably push others to make up their minds sooner than they probably would otherwise. The democrats seem to be waiting for Hillary to make her move.

Ted is Tom's illegitimate brother and a clandestine Scientologist? I wouldn't be surprised.

No, of course not. In fact, I'm not even sure how you made that list. If you limited it only to people who are serious candidates, you'd at least have Jeb Bush on there. If you limited it to people who have announced their candidacy as of the time of writing, it would be:

Republicans Candidates:
Ted Cruz: That guy
Mark Everson: Former IRS lawyer and current tax lawyer
Jack Fellure: "perennial political candidate and retired engineer", ran as Prohibition Party candidate in 2012 (Note: not an Anti-Prohibition party, the Prohibition Party. The one from 1912)

Democratic Candidates:
Jeff Boss: "Conspiracy theorist and perennial candidate from New Jersey" This sums up everything I could say.
Vermin Supreme: You should know who this is.
Robby Wells: Former College Football coach, Former Constitution Party candidate.

I think I'll throw my vote behind Mark Everson, who seems to have a surprisingly balanced platform. He seems to be one of those reasonable, broad appeal candidates who have absolutely no name recognition and thus could not win unless someone pulls a Bull Moose party thing and splits the vote, or pulls an Eric Cantor and simply doesn't bother trying.

I actually don't know who Vermin Supreme is because people never refer to him by anything but that nickname.

That's not a nickname.

He hasn't told anyone his birth name, but his legal name is, in fact, "Vermin Supreme".

It's possible he chose not to meet with him so Russia doesn't see NATO and the US meeting about Ukraine as hostility.

That said, considering we just sent an armored convoy through NATO countries as a show of strength....yeah, it's a little perplexing.

And there was of course, the first couple of presidents because they were technically born British citizens but still born in the colonies.

The citizenship requirement only applies to people born after the constitution was adopted.  Anyone alive at the time was grandfathered in.

Could you explain the statement on his website about spending to me, by any chance? I find the rest of his positions refreshingly reasonable (except for his push for "tort reform", as the tort is an indispensable weapon in the little guy's arsenal), but I don't even understand that one.

Everson's means testing stance (without the accompaning tory-esque calls to gut programs) puts him quite a bit to the left of recent republican budgets.  It puts him very, very slightly to the right of the recent democratic budgets.
